About

An undergraduate degree in accounting from Indiana University provided the springboard to a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law for Robert P. Hamilton in 1984. He is a native of Greensburg, IN, and was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1984. In addition, he has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Mr. Hamilton joined the predecessor to Lorch Naville Ward as an associate in 1984 and became a member in 1989. He started his practice primarily in the real estate and business areas. His extensive training in tax and accounting is the foundation for his estate planning and probate practice, while his strong academic background in business enhances his experience in real estate and business law. Since 1992, Mr. Hamilton has been responsible for the firm’s bankruptcy practice and is known for his willingness to work out complex bankruptcy cases involving tax issues. He is a member of the Floyd County Bar Association and the Banking and Creditors Rights Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association.
