I went through an eviction process in JP Court and represented myself, (I am the Landlord). I was successful, ( I thought), and judgement was granted in my favor. Instead of moving out, tenant filed an appeal, to have the case re-tried in County Court. Tenant claimed COVID protections, CARES Act protections, among many other things, and was successful in getting an appeal granted. I am business executive who is 420 friendly. Unfortunately, the great State of Texas is not. I was charged with possession of under 2 ounces(less than 3 grams).
