I engaged this lawyer for a very small employment matter and provided a retainer we agreed should be more than enough because I expected to continue using him matters related to starting a small business later. Relatively soon after we started I ran into long stretches where I would get no response and wasn't sure if he was still working on the matter or not. I eventually decided the poor communication and timing wasn't going to serve either of us and asked to stop ongoing work. When it came to getting the bill I again had to go through pains to get any kind of response over weeks and the bill included time for my requests to get a bill that had previously not been responded to.
