Divis Law, LLC is a consumer law firm in Macon, Georgia delivering services in aspects of consumer advocacy and protection. A small firm, I can offer great flexibility with pricing, meeting times and locations, and other aspects of representation, but can and do collaborate with other consumer attorneys in Georgia and the Southeastern United States when necessary to effecively advocate for our clients.Before I decided to attend law school, I was an infantry officer in the United States Army and had command and green-tab roles in the 82nd Airborne Division (505th Parachute Infantry Regiment) and 28th Infantry Regiment. Before my time as an infantry commander, I also spent time in the active ready reserve as an enlisted mechanic, where I received excellent training and invaluable experience with diesel and gas engines and a range of machinery types. As an auto fraud specialist, this training and experience has been invaluable.I believe law can have therapeutic as well as practical consequences in peoples' lives. Hiring a lawyer is really about giving yourself a voice and making sure that you are heard. I try to take the time to educate my clients about what I'm doing for them and why. I think when we understand the processes that are reaching into our lives and impacting us very personally, it's a little easier to make our way through them. My job is to be an advocate but also a guide.My pro-bono practice includes veterans benefits and military discharge modification.Divis Law was founded with the support of the Middle Georgia Access to Justice Council. We remain partners with Middle Georgia Justice and Georgia Legal Services, and proudly donate our time as consumer advocates in support of their missions.
