Richard White is a managing shareholder for JacksonWhite. He practices Elder Law, assisting the senior members of the community with issues of concern unique to them, including health care issues and elder abuse and exploitation issues. Richard handles pre-crisis and crisis planning for family members in need of immediate long-term health care and helps families qualify for public benefits including Arizona’s Medicaid program, ALTCS, and the VA Aid and Attendance benefit. Education and Honors: Richard earned his undergraduate degree in political science from California State University at Fullerton in 1976 and graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1981. Professional Activities and Experience: Richard is a member of the State Bar of Arizona (Mental Health & Elder Law Sections), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Medicaid Planning Council, the Governor’s Council on Aging, and the Maricopa County Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance. He currently serves as a board member and chair of the Public Policy Committee for the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter and is a former board member for Mesa Senior Services. Personal: Prior to joining the Jackson law firm in 1985, Richard worked for Burch & Cracchiolo in Phoenix in the area of consumer defense and personal injury law.
