In March 2009, I was appointed by Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to the Louisiana State Board of Election Supervisors. The State Board of Election Supervisors serves to review election laws and the conduct of elections within the state. According to statute, the board is comprised of seven members, including the lieutenant governor, the secretary of state, the attorney general and the commissioner of elections or a designee of the secretary of state, as determined by the secretary of state. The board also includes one member of the Clerks of Court Association and one member of the Registrars of Voters Association elected by their respective associations to serve. The remaining member is selected by the Governor from nominations submitted by the presidents of Centenary College, Dillard University, Louisiana College, Loyola University, Tulane University of Louisiana, and Xavier University. I was nominated by the president of Loyola University. I am honored to serve on the Board. In June 2009, I was selected as a member of GNO, Inc.'s New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute Class of 2010. GNO, Inc. is the regional economic development hub for the ten-parish Greater New Orleans metropolitan area; it serves to coordinate, consolidate, and catalyze economic developmentinitiatives. The New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute is a nine-month program designed to enhance personalleadership skills and examine issues central to the advancement of the GreaterNew Orleans region. The Institute brings together forty business, civic, andcommunity leaders representing all races, genders, industries and communitiesin the region with a mission to promote regional collaboration by providing aforum for the exchange of diverse viewpoints and a network of relationships.

Rich is one of the best hands down.. he’s peaceful with a loin inside of him when it comes to representing his clients... I’ll be forever grateful for Rich , I was 100% lied on /railroaded with my back was against the wall in a civil case on appeal that everybody told me not to fight because it was no way I could win. I hired Richard and he went up against a giant and won me my job back with back pay , rich Didn leave no Stones unturned until every lie came out .... ❤️ Thanks Rich you saved my life. -CJ-

Richard Traina has done an excellent job representing me in 6 cases now (5 at the same time!). His presence and organization in the courtroom is very impressive, and the judge seems to be attentive as a result of his professionalism. Through all of the tough times that one will experience in a lawsuit, Richard is able to maintain a good sense of humor, which makes this "complex experience" of lawsuits more palatiable.
