I strongly recommend that you consult this firm and specifically Mary Kuntz for any employment-related legal issue. I worked for a small government entity in which quite a few employees had experienced discrimination of various types; in my own case, there was an informal RIF in which the more senior non-management staff was targeted for removal without justification in order to make way for newer staff that could be paid significantly less. I was referred to one of the senior partners, Elaine Fitch, who had represented a colleague at my agency, after having been represented by two other firms that I had not been satisfied with in EEO cases. As Elaine Fitch was not available when I came to KCNF, Mary Kuntz, who is also a partner, handled my case. Mary is one of the most knowledgeable and professional attorneys I have worked with. She has a calm demeanor and is able to navigate difficult situations easily. She dealt with lower-end attorneys at my agency whom she had to instruct in the law and also managed to do the same with the senior attorneys who somehow didn’t care if they complied with it. I was able to obtain a fair settlement with a difficult agency in both EEO and MSPB cases. I also referred several others at my agency to her. Integrity, professionalism and experience matter. I am quite pleased that I landed here. The firm always dealt with me fairly in both communications, and in cost.
I consulted with Ms. Kuntz several times during my current EEO case just to get a different opinion on my strategy. Ms. Kuntz was direct, honest and explained the full scope of the situation putting me at ease each time. Ms. Kuntz is sharp and understands the EEO process as well as all of the concerns within the process. She is a great legal mind.
I was in need of legal consultation for a security clearance issue. I asked my friends in human resources for a recommendation. They recommended the attorneys at Kalijarvi Chuzi & Newman based upon their track record of successfully defending the employ against the agency. I called the firm and said that I needed to speak to someone ASAP. I was very quickly connected with Mary Kuntz, I am very thankful that I was able to work with her. Mary was extremely easy to speak with and she quickly understood my situation. She expertly explained all the legal points, and formulated a plan of action to mitigate my situation. Mary’s intelligence, competence, and empathy immediately put me at ease, and for the first time since my situation began, I felt optimistic. No one likes spending money on legal fees but I can truly say, Mary was worth every penny. I recommend Mary without reservation and am truly grateful for all that she did.
