Unfortunately, several years ago, I had to deal with a case of domestic violence. Mr. Richard Nedlin was at this time serving as a District Attorney in Aspen Justice Court. As a victim and people of Colorado, he was representing me. He handled the case very poorly and his knowledge of the procedures were very approximate. On a personal note, he always seemed "detached" and uninterested by my case which he was considering as "small" (his words) compared to other files which seemed more important. It made me wonder several times if he really wanted to serve and render justice correctly. He wrongfully handled some procedures and consequently the case was dismissed. I felt victimized a second time. The person who was guilty left the audience free of any trouble. I was fortunate enough to have been helped by the organization "Response" who helps victims of Domestic Violence. They were very helpful all along. I know I have not been the only victim who did not feel like I was defended and represented properly by Mr. Nedlin. Nothing was ever done to correct this.
