Richard Mulhearn has more than 25years of experience as a trial lawyer. His passion for justice and his professional manner have earned him therespect and admiration of clients, peers, adversaries and judges.  He started out as an Assistant Prosecutor (AssistantDistrict Attorney) in New Jersey.  Sincerelocating to Massachusetts in the 1980’s, he has been actively engaged intrial practice, mastering the law in a number of legal areas.  Overall, his specialty has been representingindividuals against large and powerful entities.  Mr. Mulhearn brings that passion and skill to the defense ofpersons accused by the Commonwealth of drunk driving or OUI.  Drunk driving defense is a highly technicaland frequently changing area of law. Mr. Mulhearn studies with the top experts and practitioners in thecountry to stay on the cutting edge and to be able to provide the best defenseand advice to his clients.  He ispassionate about protecting people from the increasingly harsh anddisproportionate penalties of the drunk driving laws, including long periods oflicense loss.  He believes that beingcharged with OUI can happen to just about anyone and that it often comes frombeing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
