I have changed a few lawyers since I started my immigration. I have worked with Rick for a while now. He was able to fix a problem that another lawyer just told me to refile- great knowledge of the law. I liked how he handles all my cases. He is nice, responsible & most importantly trustworthy lawyer. I am would absolutely recommend him.
Rick was the worst and I would never recommend him to anyone. Never kept in touch, always busy and never returned calls or emails. Laughed when I explained I wanted to go home for my grandma's last days and funeral, he said I was ridiculous. Worst experience and he should not be allowed to practice law. Takes advantage of his clients being in difficult situations. At least our next lawyer couldn't be worse. I could have done a better job myself than the awful mess Rick made.
Rick was hired to assist with my complex immigration matters on a flat fee basis. The initial consultations seemed reasonable, however after further discussions with other attorneys, it quite quickly became apparent that he didn’t really understand the nuances of immigration law. Rather than present the situation and risks clearly, he offered contradictory guidance and seemed content blaming the Trump Administration (which to be fair, seemed to have created quite a bit of chaos at USCIS). Notwithstanding, the management his office provided was sloppy and failed to inform me of appointments with USCIS on more than one occasion. The absolute nadir was his failure to update my case details in a timely manner - although he was paid to do exactly that - resulting in a delay in receiving work authorization of more than three months. When confronted about these multiple failings, he was in turn, apologetic, defensive and then aggressive, blaming others for what boiled down to a basic lack of competence. I would absolutely avoid using Mr Hogan for any kind of legal advice or representation.
We’d applied for L1A visa. Mr Rick was always busy and didn’t give proper time for us. However, documents submitted was also not sufficient to USCIS. It doesn’t look like he goes thru it. He delays in sending the paper to the USCIS!
