Rick is committed to protecting the rights of individuals and promoting justice by vigorously advocating on behalf of his clients. He believes that our legal system should be used to defend and promote fundamental individual rights. Rick is a fierce and passionate advocate, and enjoys fighting for justice for his clients.Rick focuses his practice on complex litigation, primarily employment law claims. He has a proven track record of success. Rick has successfully litigated numerous six and seven figure results in employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation cases, wage and hour cases, and class actions. He has been named a Rising Star by Washington Super Lawyers every year from 2013 through 2018 and has been a speaker at legal seminars.Rick graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law and earned his B.A. from the University of Washington. Following law school, Rick served as a law clerk to the Honorable Tom Chambers of the Washington State Supreme Court. During his clerkship, Rick worked on a wide range of complex cases and legal issues, making recommendations to the court and helping draft high-quality judicial opinions.Rick is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, as well as the Washington Employment Lawyers Association (WELA). He is admitted to practice in all Washington courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. He considers it an honor to fight for each person’s fundamental right to equal justice under the law.
