Richard was my daughters lawyers in a CPS/DHHS... he was not like normal court appointed lawyers who "just go along with CPS/DHHS" He was a true clients lawyer...giving it his all
Honestly I've been in trouble a few times throughout my life in my experience in Maine many of the defense attorneys work closely with the prosecutors I have seen defense attorneys trade one client for another letting one client get her shirt I'm so they could get a better deal for a different one I think this is disgusting Behavior Richard not that kind of lawyer he fights for each and every one of his people he made sure that instead of doing 3 years in jail I received a reasonable deal I have mental health issues and co-occurring disorder at the time of my mistake I had lost all my insurance and therefore was off all of my meds homeless and self-medicating it took over a year from my first arrest 2 my sentencing in that time I had gotten back on my meds been in treatment found a home got approved for disability and got my life back on track completely yet they still wanted me to lose all that and go to jail for years Richard was not having any of that he fought for me over and over again until we got a reasonable offer I did do a tiny bit of jail time but my treatment wasn't put off track because of it I was continued to get my meds even though I was in jail and I maintained all my benefits it was the best outcome possible in the situation you couldn't ask for somebody better in the area
