I worked with Rich in 2016 when I went through a divorce, and I would highly recommend him. He was attentive to my case when it needed to be prioritized, and he was knowledgeable throughout the process. While we only made it to mediation, I would have been confident working with Rich had we gone to trial.
I initially met with Richard for a free consultation. It was clear from the start that he had the knowledge and experience necessary to handle my case. My case was very complicated, involving a modification of a parenting plan with the children residing in another state. Richard took the time to listen to the facts of my case and answered all of my questions. Just as important, he never tried to oversell me or waste my time/money. I would highly recommend this attorney
Mr Cassady is an extremely good attorney. I was in a bad situation financially and he really helped me to understand my options, course of actions and what was important when converting my separation into a final divorce decree. We hit many bumps in the road and he was on top of all of them and kept me informed on a regular basis. He worked diligently to map out and get the best outcome possible. The divorce is final now and the future ahead is not cloudy any more thanks to his efforts.
Well what should have been a 3-4k Divorce ended being dragged out for 5 months. He's doesn't care about is clients well being at all. I lost $3,000 to my wife's attorney before we even got to mediation. He never explained the importance of timely completing discovery of assets disclosure statements. It really felt like he and my wife's attorney were out to take advantage of us both. I ended up out of over 8K to him also on a divorce that was short term. (Less than 2 yrs) The only reason I got out of this..is because my wife ran out of money and didn't want to pay her attorney any longer. It was nothing magnificent -he did for me what so-ever!! He never responded to phone call or emails in an efficient manner. In fact seemed very irritated when tough questions were asked. He never fought for me. He and the other attorney used the discovery process to charge as much money as they possibly could. They both knew this was a short term marriage. I won't be getting married again. However, if I did and needed an attorney...I wouldn't make this nightmarish decision......ever again of choosing this guy...TAKE MY ADVICE DON'T HIRE HIM
I am a sole owner of a Limited Liability Company (LLC). I went to the trouble of making four copies of the LLC Operating Agreement. Richard Cassady decided not to include the LLC Operating Agreement which shows me as the sole owner. He said this is Family Law not Business Law. Because of this the Court Commissioner issue a temporary order (that lasted 2 years) that gave control of part of my LLC to my now X-wife and required me to obtain her approval for all business decisions. I have talked to three lawyers after dropping Mr. Cassady. They considered it a gross legal error to omit the LLC Operating Agreement. The Opposing Counsel even ask Mr. Cassady’s replacement why it was not filed in the first place. It cost me over $200,000 in legal fees in my divorce. I believe much of this was to fight the problems caused by Richard Cassady deciding not to include the LLC Operating Agreement in the original court filings. Sloppy pretty much sums this guy up. From his office to his preperation to his billing/accounting. Burns up money " preparing for the case" and then shows up in court a half an hour early and cobbles together his case plan and then stammers through it iin the court room. Yelled at the guardian ad litem in the hall after one of our court appearances. Unless you like overpaying to be completely underserved I would avoid this guy like the plague!!!!!!
This attorney went thru my $5000 retainers like it was nothing. I finally got tired of his surprise invoices and found someone else who was actually trustworthy. Beware......... If you can't afford almost 5000+ a month in invoices this is not the attorney for you. He goes weeks without communicating with his clients and only cares about the money. Do yourself a favor and find an attorney who actually cares about their clients, knows how to communicate, and doesn't blow thru a 5000 retainer in two weeks. I was so happy with the attorney I hired to replace him and who completed my case at 1/3 of what I paid this guy to get to just temporary orders. I went to trial with the attorney I replaced him with and still ended up only costing me 1/3 of what this guy charged me.... You will end up spending many thousands of dollars if you hire this guy. He wasn't worth the money he billed me for.
