I was squeezed in at very late notice (for me), about divorce stuff, and treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Rex listened to my case which has multiple overlapping issues and quickly synthesized the information flying at him and came to a non-direct attorney involved resolution and plan forward. Rex was easy to talk to and has a comforting factor in his demeanor. Based on just my consultation I'd recommend him to someone who has the need first to have help making sense out of complicated situation, and to do so kindly with sense of rightful purpose. I will hire Rex when a need arises.
Rex Write made a very stressful situation so easy to get through! Mr. White was always there for me whenever I needed him. He provided support and was very professional as my family law attorney! Thank you so much Mr.White for winning my case, I will be sure to recommend your services to all that are in need of legal assistance.
Rex was really helpful and responded quickly to emails and phone calls. He really helped out the Portland State student community. I would absolutely recommend him.
I recommend having nothing to do with Rex J White. I have character limit here so I cant go in to full detail but a quick summery of my experience with this man and the challenges I am going to have if I try to sue him goes like this.. I was the victim of housing discrimination, by both a property management company and a BOLI agent but I was able to prove it because I had recorded all my calls with the property management company and agent. Rex bragged to me about making this company settle out of court many times. (Mind you I am disabled and was basically bed ridden, and he knew I was up against the statute of limitations ) He came to visit me with another trainee lawyer named Dallas. I am guessing he lied to me on the phone because he referred to Dallas as his assistant. He listened to the evidence I had given him. In short the property management company claimed to have denied me housing due to my demeanor. However I was nothing but polite, kind and soft spoken in every encounter I had with them and not just them, I try to be that way with everyone I deal with, especially if I am trying to get favor from them. I mean that's just common sense, who is going to do something nice for you if you are not mindful of their feelings? Rex sees everything and tells me he will send me a contingency agreement and a draft of the settlement demand, mind you I am now wrapped up with him just based on the fact that I trusted him and his mother was the secretary for the firm he was working for close to two months. With almost two weeks left to go he sends me a rejection letter and denies all the above. So I go about it on my own and basically taught myself how to be a lawyer online and as Trump would say I won BIGGLY lol I love karma. But the problem is if I try to sue Rex he may argue that he didn't damage me and that I am clearly a better litigator then he could ever hope to be and that I was better off in my hands than his...
I reported him to the Oregon state bar and gave them my evidence and testimony about my experience with him. I allege that he informed me he was going to take on my case and that he was going to send me the paper work for the letter of demand he planned to send out for me to look over. I allege that I called him and spoke to his receptionist who informed me that she was his mother and convinced me it was normal for him to go periods of time without communicating, but that she did confirm that he sent out the letter of demand for me to look over that he said he would. I ended up getting what I perceived to be a generic case rejection letter and being ignored. Thankfully I recorded all my calls with him which is why I am making this post. I recommend if you are going to do business with him you record everything you legally can. In Oregon you can legally record all your phone conversations , however in face to face interactions you need to inform the person they are being recorded. Based on my experience I would recommend getting his permission to record everything, even face to face meetings.
