About
My life experience has taken me from a small town in the Florida panhandle to law school in New York City, to Tampa, Florida for 20 years. My experience helps me to represent my clients without preconceved ideas of what is in their best interest or judgment of how they came to need my help. Mr. Byrd helped me in 2019-2020 in a very very unusual paternity case. Most attorneys turned me down right away or wanted insane amounts of money to even get started. Mr. Byrd had flat fees and was reasonable to work with on that matter. Mr. Byrd stuck it out through the end with me. This was the second time ever in my life needing an attorney for something. The first time I lost all confidence in legal counsel by a big name in Panama City, but that was made up the second time around for me. In the end, the results were not in my favor but not a fault to me or counsel either. I would use Mr. Byrd's services anytime and recommend him for sure.
Kim was an invaluable resource to me for over two years, following a complicated and drawn out separation I had initially attempted to handle on my own. Mr. Byrd was extremely honest, trustworthy, diligent, and dedicated. From the beginning of the separation process up until my settlement and final resolution, communication was never lacking. Mr. Byrd was available via telephone, text or email. He would respond promptly and patiently to any question I had asked. I was always up-to-date on the status of my case, and received detailed invoices; with in my opinion, very reasonable billing practices. I would highly recommend Mr. Byrd to anyone seeking legal advice/counseling.
I represented myself until things got out of hand on my case. I contacted Kim from the Internet. He stepped in to facilitate, through mediation, a return of my contact with my children. After that he prepared me for and represented me at a contempt hearing. He did a great job.
Mr. Byrd handled my divorce expeditiously and efficiently. He was attentive and understanding of my family's needs. He was responsive, easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with.
Kim was helpful, patient, and consistent.
I needed a special hand to guide me through the kind of divorce I needed. My husband and I were not in any kind of conflict; through counseling, we'd discovered that the only thing not working about our marriage was my closeted homosexuality. We needed a divorce settlement that allowed us both to maintain the maximum amount of stability for our children and reflected our 50:50 partnership. To make a long story short, he did a wonderful job. I really appreciate how carefully he listened to me.
Mr. Byrd was both honest and knowledgeable and willing to share with us his expertise on what we could and could not expect to accomplish while still leaving the choice to us as to how to proceed.
Kim was dream come true on his knowledge and very pro active. I have met several attorneys in my life time and he is at my top 2 of my lifetime! He really had all the bases covered and emailed and called when needing update.
I used Kim Byrd's legal services to create an estate plan. I originally planned on just getting a will, but he explained the importance on other documents, such as a medical power of attorney and a few others. Kim was very knowledgeable about the law and how it impacted out particular circumstance. He did a wonderful job of walking us through the process andexplaining out options. Once we provided him our information, he had our documents prepared and ready for our review within a couple of weeks. He also offered a discount for doing mine and my partner's estate plans at the same time. I highly recommend Kim Byrd to anyone who is preparing their estate plan.
We hired Bryd, was paid more than he ever worked for- he was Completely unprepared, to fight for fathers rights in an emergency hearing. The court pleads looked like they were written by a middle school child. If your a single father wanting rights to your child . Stay as far way from Kim Byrd - he’s a horrible attorney!
