I am a past President of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), 1994-1995 and presently have a solo law practice in Lancaster, Ohio. I received my B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and my law degree, with distinction, from Ohio Northern University in 1976.I had a general practice in Logan, Ohio, for eight years, but since relocating to Lancaster, Ohio, in 1984 I have focused on real estate, banking, and commercial law. I handle residential and commercial transactions and have facilitated multi-million dollar real estate closings in several states. I also advise real estate developers on planning and zoning issues and have assisted in developing numerous real estate subdivisions and commercial projects. I also have extensive knowledge of the title insurance business, am a licensed title insurance agent and part owner of a title insurance company.In addition to being State Bar President, I was President of the Hocking County Bar Association, Chairman of the OSBA, Young Lawyers Section, Board of Governors, a special young lawyer representative to the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors, a District Nine Representative to that Board and a member of the OSBA Council of Delegates. I am a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and have also served in the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association.I served as Chairperson of the Board of the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce, and have been involved in numerous civic organizations.
