After 5 years, 2other attorneys and 2private investigators, Ray was finally able to help me break free from an incarcerated drug addicted husband.
I hired Ray, to support Gahanna, where his office is located. He was the worse mistake I ever made. He was the joke of the courthouse, We were in court over a year, maybe 10 or 11 times, in court. He wore the same suit every time. The other lawyers on at least 4 other occasions, were laughing at him. The judge was disgusted. She told him 3 times he was not professional. He never filed the paperwork on time. He was not professional. I don't know how he has a license. I paid him between $7 and $8,000 total. And he lost the easy case, because he filed the wrong paperwork. So, I had to get another lawyer and start over. Buyer Beware!!!
Mr. King left me in the worst possible position. He kept demanding money so he could "file" motions in my case. It turns out after paying him a few thousand dollars he filed nothing and left me and my son in a dangerous position. He was late to court and seemed to forget things, a lot. I attempted to get my files but no calls were returned by his staff and when I stopped by the office was cleared out. I believe that he should have to pay back the funds he took from his clients to fund his lifestyle.
When I was Coordinator of Student Affairs at Columbus Business College in 1973 Ray was teaching law and hadn't had his degree yet. We became school friends and he defended me in several small driving cases. He also defended me in a bankruptsy case. I thought he was a very good attorney until I received a condo lien and finally a foreclosure against my condo where I live. I had paid him and he handled my case so bad because of improper forms sent to Common Pleas Court and records that I had given him and he and his secretary couldn't find them for a long time so I fired him. One time I was told to come to his office for a briefing and I live in Clintonville and after waiting in his office he stated that his wife had called, therefore, he had to go home. since I originally had small cases before, I thought I could depend on him but when a big case came up I could see that he wasn't as knowlegeable ad I previously imagined. I finally figured out that because of my law enforcement and my state investigator backgound that when he was my attorney in the small cases and bankruptcy case that I generally gave him enough information that in general I was really handing the law for my cases and that;'s why we won. I at present feel very bad because IO referred him to my daughter for her divorce and now that it's been over a year since he took the case and she is divorced with three children if the ex-husband acts up she is going to have to get another attorney. He also handled a few disolutions for me.
Ray King was and still is a terrible lawyer. Never organized, always showed up late to court. The opposing lawyer made him look like a fool, Ray knew nothing. He looked like a buffoon. Always had his hand out for money, but we didn't win anything. Three different lawyers told me to fire him, said that he should no be a lawyer. He lost my paperwork twice. He was in contempt once, because he was late for court. The Magistrate, she yelled at him atleast 5 times, because paperwork was not signed, not filled out correctly, not handed in on time, it goes on and on. I finally fired Ray, then got a new lawyer. My custody case was finished in 6 months. I worked a year with Ray and got nothing, not even visitation. I get a new lawyer , and in 6 months, I have Joint Custody. Ray was not fit to represent me in court.
He lost our case dude to a paper work error! 6 years and still no justice on a slam dunce case! The is guy is a looser
this Attorney is not knowledgeable, and did not keep me informed at all, and his secretary is no good at all, she do not rely messages at all, the whole law firm is bad.
