About
I am attorney Randall L. Jackson. I have been practicing law in Des Moines, Iowa, since 1998. My areas of practice include bankruptcy and debt relief, divorce and family law, criminal defense and OWI defense. With my broad range of legal experience, I can help people with many different issues. If I cannot help you with your particular legal matter, I will let you know right away.I was raised in rural southern Iowa, I am proud to be an Iowan, and I hold sacred the values I was taught growing up. My desire to live by those values led me to start my own practice in 2005, and I endeavor to incorporate them into my law practice. As a lawyer, I work hard for my clients, and I strive to build trusting relationships with them. I believe that my clients return to me not only because they can trust that I will work to achieve the best results for them, but also because they can rely on me to care about them and their situations.

Very thorough, understanding and patient. Made the whole process less scary.
Randy was great in helping me with my student loans! He got it dismissed and I was extremely happy with his expertise in the area of student loan debts. He definitely will represent you well and if you’re ever being sued for your student loans let him handle the case for you!
i hired Randall to defend me in court on a criminal/drug case and i am very satisfied with the results. hes a excellent lawyer
Randy is an amazingly calm, collected and intelligent attorney. His awards are impressive enough. His actions in the court room are amazing. Don't hesitate to use him. I have and he will always be my first call if ever (which won't happen) I get in trouble. I'd never been arrested ever in my 50 years. Ever. It can happen to you too. If it does, call Randy Jackson. You'll never regret it. I was charged with having my own medication in a "non-approved" container. By an amazingly against all odds stroke of a horrible luck situation, by best friends meds were also in my possession after we had lunch. I didn't know what he had until I was in trouble. Translation: I was charged with two serious misdemeanors for "no official tax stamp" and two felonies for my friends meds. I voluntarily handed both bottles when asked about them by the police. HUGE mistake. I was pulled over for swerving because I'd dropped my wallet and cell phone. But when the police asked what the bottles were sitting right in the middle of my console, I handed them to them voluntarily. DO NOT DO THAT. Know your rights. Keep things in their proper containers and put them in a glove box or other storage area. I didn't even know I was committing a crime for this. Man, did I ever learn a lesson for that. I had used Randy before for credit card debt from a divorce. He was extremely successful in handling that. I called him for the case above knowing I was facing jail time, huge fines, loss of my rights (voting, driving, fire arms) etc. The police even confiscated my vehicle because it was considered paid for by drugs and narcotics trafficking. All for a total of 18 pills. While all of this was outrageous and completely and totally verifiable, the police treated me like a drug trafficking criminal. All of this of course was totally untrue. The police nor county officials didn't care. They would not budge. Fast forward 4-5 months. I got my vehicle back, I received a deferred sentence for a misdemeanor and given 1 year "unofficial" probation. NO other charges. I was expecting potential jail, fines and loss of my rights. These were extremely serious charges. So here's my recommendation. NEVER have your meds in anything but the bottle they came in. NEVER, even when accidentally hold anyone's meds. Period. But if you do, and you're booked and charged like I was, CALL RANDY. His awards speak for themselves. But on top of that, Randy is just a very good and decent human being. A man that I would consider a friend. He has integrity and grit. He's someone I'd go to bat for any day or have his back in a heartbeat. He has exceptional timing, instincts and judgement. Hire him, listen to him, take his advice and your chances of benefiting from his skill sets will benefit you. I was amazed at what my outcome was.
I was in Europe, and still am, but Attorney Jackson was on time, specific and never left me wondering what still needed to be done, if anything. Though I have had many reasons to need the specific services provided I am flattered for this opportunity to say this experience has served me better than any other legal services I have used in my still young body of 78 years. If you have a need for protection against excessive charges or questionable cost Randall can advise and/or handle the need, in a professional and effective manner. What you have a need to do will be done and what is required of you will be explained by this attorney. I would, without hesitation or any reluctance, recommend the services of Attorney Randall L. Jackson for any legal assistance you may require.
