About
Preston Miller grew up in Cullman, Alabama. He now lives in Birmingham with his wife. As a Beeson Scholar, Preston graduated from Samford University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Film. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2014 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2014.Preston has long held an interest in fighting for the rights of hard-working Alabamians. Before attending Cumberland, Preston served for over a year as a Regional Coordinator with Impact Alabama through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. He assisted with vision screenings for children in Pre-K programs and helped with tax preparation for families across Alabama. Following his work with Impact Alabama, he worked in the public policy arena, seeking to expand opportunities for Alabamians across the economic spectrum.Preston was a Presidential Scholar at Cumberland School of Law . He was also member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, America’s oldest law review dedicated solely to trial advocacy. His writing focused specifically on work-related disputes and workers’ rights. He is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section. Preston also volunteers as a mentor to students from Birmingham City Schools through the Southtown Leadership program. He and his wife live in Birmingham.
