Portia is one of the most caring individuals I have ever meet. She takes the time to understand her cases. She is also one of the most honest person I have ever meet. She has handled several matters for me. Most recently an elder law matter. Thank you Portia for all of your assistance.
Portia is probably a fine lawyer. Her assistant is about the rudest and most difficult person you are ever going to encounter, and she's who you are going to have to deal with, as Portia doesn't get into the office until about 10 and likes to leave by 4 and doesn't ever answer calls or emails personally. We had a billing issue, one I believe was caused by the assistant, and I had another legal matter that I assumed Portia would handle. The hearing was approaching and all of the sudden the billing was brought up, when I was unaware of it, in a very public and rude and unprofessional manner. The bill was paid the next day- and within a few days I received a letter from Portia giving me all the reasons she couldn't represent me in the new matter. Mind you, the hearing was now in about 10 days and I had to find another lawyer to help me. Thankfully, I won, but isn't it suspicious that Portia all of a sudden couldn't take my case but couldn't tell me until the old bill was paid?
I had a very similar situation to previous post. After 10 months I'm still in the same situation I was before I hired Portia however minus @ 20K in legal fees. From my point of view all those two did was request documents from me. I don't even have a court date until Feb 2018 at the earliest. What a waste of money.
