Just this past year I hired him for an open criminal case I had to go to court for. I had gotten into some trouble a few years ago, were Phil and I accepted an offer with good behavior attached to it. Unfortunately I ended up getting into trouble again, while on that good behavior. I was arrested and let out under the condition that I have an ankle monitor. I hired Phil right away! The prosecutor filed a “motion to bring forward my deferred sentence” that was from the previous case with the good behavior, I want to say it was a 6 month sentence. Due to covid, it took a while for us to get back into court. I had been on the ankle monitor bracelet the entire time we waited for a court date. Over 2 years later, we finally got a date and Phil got me a re suspended sentence but most importantly got me off that bracelet! I honestly think the best news I had ever gotten over the phone was the day Phil called me, (August 12, 2021 I believe) and told me he had already gotten a deal and that all we needed to do when we go to court that following week, was sign paperwork. Happy was an understatement, because I thought I was going back to jail indefinitely. I am not perfect, I have a lengthy criminal record, and have had my share of run ins with the cops, and jail.
