I am the founding partner of Szyjka & D'Eramo, a community mainstay located in South Boston, Massachusetts. We have been the go-to firm in our part of Boston since 2011. We represent clients throughout the Commonwealth, country and the world. I represent clients in immigration matters, including business immigraiton, family-based immigration, naturalizations, consular issues and deportation/removal defense. Immigration law is a federal law, so I have clients from and in all parts of the world. I have assisted my clients in achieving their American dream in some very complicated and delicate cases that need to be handled accordingly. I have helped U.S. companies with securing work visas and permanent residence for their employees. I am an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. This is my largest practice area. I was born in Poland, and immigrated to the U.S. when I was 13. I know how difficult the transition to a new country can be. I have always been fascinated with georgraphy, history, global politics and knowing what is happening in the world. I am fluent in Polish, but I have clients from all areas of the Caribbean, Asia, South and Central America, Europe, Middle East and Africa.I have successfully handled hundreds of real estate transactions representing buyers and sellers in a home buying/selling process and resolving title issues. I represent landlords and tenants in tenancy-related disputes, including summary process evictions. I also help clients with their estate planning and probate needs. Whether it's drafting wills, trusts, providing guidance with estate tax planning, or assisting loved ones with the probate process, I can be of service. I have served as a speaker and presenter at several estate planning seminars. Last, but not least, I represent injured victims of personal injury and auto accident cases. I helped many clients recover significant and life-changing compensation for their losses. I handle all personal injury cases on contingency basis. I handle almost all of my other cases on flat fee basis.I graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2000 from Northeastern University and with a law degree from Boston University in 2003. A few years ago, our firm was featured on TV Channel 5's Chronicle, which was an absolute blast. Since the pandemic, my firm has become very adept at representing clients remotely. I think I have made a difference in many people's lives through my service in the legal profession. I have enjoyed meeting some tremendous people - whether it's caring and skilled lawyers, fair and reasonable judges, or most of all, cIients with very compelling stories and problems. Attorney Peter Szyjka had represented my family for an auto accident case in 2013. As a result there was serious injury which required a family member to undergo surgery.
