Best damn lawyer I ever hired – hands down! He saved my life and my family’s. I was charged with several serious felonies, including Attempted Assault I on a police officer (“Attempted Murder”) and Risk of Injury to a Minor and was staring down the barrel of at least 5 years. I thought I was a goner. But I hired SouIsby and ended up walking out of HCCC after serving 6 months. If your case is in the New Britain Judicial District, THIS IS THE MAN TO HIRE. He’s a former New Britain Prosecutor and now a criminal defense attorney (thank God). He genuinely cared about what happened to me and told me from the beginning he would get me help for the issues that led to my arrest and not let them warehouse me in prison for years on end. He came to see me at least once before every court date and was always honest with me. He answered all of mine and my family’s questions. He’s an “old school” attorney and a man of his word, and if he tells you he can do something, he will get it done. He’s also President of the New Britain Bar Association which I suspect gives him a lot of clout in the courtroom. On behalf of me and my family, thank you Attorney Soulsby.
Counselor Saulsby is the only person I ever want to defend me. He is an honest man and will work hard to ensure justice is upheld. Peter is professional personified. He made sure I was never lost during the whole process. I've always gotten the best possible outcome because of Counselor Saulsby.
Mr. Soulsby did a great job of serving our son who was an out of state resident facing serious charges. He visited our son in jail and after meeting him our son felt like he was in very good hands with a very experienced, intelligent lawyer who was also compassionate. His fee was more than reasonable for the excellent service and outcome we received. I would recommend highly recommend Mr. Soulby.
Attorney Soulsby was there right form the start no questions asked. I was faced with going through the proceedings of a parole violation alone, the bad guy who was on AR and violated the terms of his release had his attorney. When the states attorney asked who was representing me a voice from the back of the room said I AM and Peter stepped up and took control. Thank you Peter, thank you very very much
So, I got arrested for some allegations that were brought to my attention. I hired Peter Soulsby to help me with the case. I payed him about 40% of what he charged me. We never sat down and spoke about the case. I told him I was innocent and was not even around when the incident occured. BOOM,,, first offer is 1 year in prison or take it to trial. I told him again I had nothing to do with it and took it to trial. He then made me wait allmost a year and a half so that the court can find the so called accuser and the trial can start. Mind you he said a speedy trial isnt necessary. He called me two days before my court date and said be ready for court. Everytime I went to court he tried making me plea guilty to what the court asked for. I asked him to file a motion for dismissal after the fourth court date in two weeks due to no one showing up to actually say that I was the person involved. He said there is no such thing as that. Finally they reached out to the so called victim and was told he did not want to pursue the case and that they might of got the wrong person. I recieved a vmail from some one with the person incharge of the complaint stating charges were being dropped. I told my attorney the good news but he seemed disatisfied and said be in court in the morning. Everytime I was in court he succeeded to put fear in me by stating that the court does what ever they want and he has no control over that. He yelled at me cause I wouldnt plea guilty and told me he will charge me thirty thousand just to take it to trial. I was allready in trial and the court never presented anything. He tells me if I dont plea guilty the court is going to keep making me go back to court until I do. What a you know what!!! I did research on this attorney and found out he had a criminal history. Stupid mistake they called it. So I ended up pleading to a felony 2nd degree and now my life is ruined. Its lawyers like this that should not be working in the legal system especially if they had been charged with loaded weapons, marijuana, and driving under the influence.
