Peter got involved in my case for the last half of it. He explained what was going on and kept my hopes up. My child was returned Nov 2017 & my case was closed in Feb 2018. Most people lose their kids to corrupt CPS. I do not get why he was reviewed by a board in 2017. He has much integrity and believes in looking out for his clients. I'm now realizing that kept him less available in 2017. I did not know why until now.
My husband and I needed to find a lawyer that would help us to figure out what to do with our will. It is the second marriage for both of us. My husband has two children from a previous marriage and I have none. My husband was concerned that if something were to happen to him that his children would come in and take away from me what he and I had worked together to acquire in our marriage. Peter explained what we needed to do in a calming manner and put us to ease. I can't tell you how relieved I am now that the will is done. Peter also took care of end of life wishes that were also part the will. If you need a lawyer for a will, I highly suggest Peter Schmerl for the job! You will not be disappointed!
Peter Schmerl was a godsend to me. He was very pleasant to work with, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took time to explain everything so that it was easily understood, took care of the paperwork and just handled everything for me, which was a huge relief. He is clearly a very caring and compassionate person and very good at what he does. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney and experience and will wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone I know who might be in need of his services.
I needed reliable information about how Arizona law might deal with Ontario power-of-attorney arrangements and US real estate transfers in/outside of a will for a Canadian "snow birding" in Arizona. I cold-emailed Peter after coming across his profile on the web. His assistant responded right away and set up a phone meeting. In that brief call Peter listened attentively, confirmed and added to my understanding, and offered creative solutions to challenges. With that start, I will confidently retain him to do the work needed.
This was my first and only positive experience with a lawyer. Mr. Schmerl made what was an emotionally-charged and potentially frightening experience into something that could be dealt with in a dignified way. Taking someone to court over a parent's will was the last thing that I ever expected to do in my life, but Mr. Schmerl made this a simple, step-by-step procedure. From our first meeting, he was respectful not only of me as a client but also of my financial situation as a person. The fact that his efforts had a positive financial result is icing on the cake! I would recommend Mr. Schmerl to anyone without reservation for anything to do with wills and estates.
This attorney listened to my complaint, and said the first thing we would have to do is settle on his cost's, he emailed me a long list of what all costs would be incurred and a request for $5000 up front. Then 3 weeks later sent me a bill for sending me that letter about how much it would cost.
Peter is useless. He never answer phone calls. He never answer at e-mails. He lier. He promised things which he will never able do. It is not possible to communicate with him. He does not have any knowledge in CPS. He did my case worse. Stay away from him.
