Family Court is a dynamic all its own. You never know what you are going to get. Divorce is an emotional roller coaster. I have never met a more empathetic person who really understood what I was going through. Facing these issues is stressful enough When you have an attorney who actually has your back you feel like you can get through it. He is accessible 24 hours a day and his staff are very courteous and respectful. He always returns my emails calls and texts, even on the weekend. When the divorce was finalized, I felt like I was very well represented by Sangiovanni.

Peter Sangiovanni Jr. Is the most level minded, attentive attorney that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He takes the time to listen, review and give an honest opinion of the matter at hand. His patience is "bar none". Although my situation was just a small matter, he took the time to hands my situation and resolve it with the utmost professionalism and a rate that was reasonable. I totally recommend this attorney for any family law issues. He's the top of the game and tells you up front- he's here to get the job done.

Twelve years ago Peter Sangiovanni was recommended to my by a lawyer friend to handle my divorce. I was a stay a home wife/mother divorcing a powerful Providence business owner. He hired the most notorious lawyer in the area and was backed by money, position, etc. Peter was nothing short of professional yet actually listened to me and supported me (in my hysteria). He worked overtime to protect my interests in every way. He was informative and impressed upon me each step of the way how 'the game' is played. Finally he wrote the divorce decree in such a way as to thwart any possible loopholes of which my former husband could take advantage. One stipulation between my former husband and I was that he could wait ten years before giving me my half of the marital assets (yes I know, bad move on my part). When my payment was due, my former husband tried to not have to pay me my portion of the marital assets. He forced me into family court, again and managed to drag out the proceedings for over a year. (This was due to him and the court.) Mr. Sangiovanni, by using extreme hard work, integrity and the airtight decree he had worded, managed to finally thwart my former husband's dirty dealings and not only got me my due but discounted his fee as I was left with the bill. Again he was also incredibly supportive and knowledgeable and kept me sane through a very scary time that could easily have ended unfairly. I am not a big fan of our court systems and lawyers in general, but this man does his job with the utmost of unwavering integrity and sincerity and honesty. I highly recommend him.

Should have taken the "lawyerratingz" site more seriously. I'm not experienced dealing with lawyers, but I thought that you would "get what you paid for". Apparently not. I don't know him on a personal level, so this is strictly a business opinion. I feel he is totally inept as a attorney, whether on purpose or by accident. My experience with him representing me was the equivalent of getting punched in my face repeatedly, while keeping my hands in my pockets and him watching. Sadly, the outcome would have been better if I never crossed his path. Feel like I was the victim of a "Ponzi scheme". In my particular case, there were issues that were never touched on, which I felt played a significant role in the outcome. Tough lesson learned and I accept responsibility for my decisions. With that being said, Karma doesn't discriminate. It can be quite tough when it comes back around.

Extremely expensive ($350 hr) attorney who has highly questionable billing practices. Expect to be billed $90 just to have a court date notification letter sent to you. Will talk a big game with lots of bravado all the while cunningly underbidding his services so as to enable himself to "replenish" the retainer once it is exhausted ... which will be gone in lightening speed. And do not expect to be provided with the contracted services he said he would provide - he is a paper tiger who will shrink when it's time to perform. Oh, that is if he remembers to show up on the scheduled court date or the correct time. Check out the "Lawyerratingz" website if you want to know the type of representation you will be paying huge $$$ for. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
