It is truly difficult to articulate our admiration for and gratitude to Attorney Hahn. We met with a few lawyers and chose Peter with confidence, and were not disappointed. He is organized and detail-oriented, concise, calm, responsive and caring. My daughter's case, which stemmed from a work situation, was not only closed but reversed and expunged. Throughout a 7 month nightmare, Peter was always a rock solid support without giving any false promises. HIs analysis of a complicated case, and performance at the hearing, were superb.
We had a situation develop with DCF for our son. We searched for lawyers based on both personal referrals as well as the internet. After meeting with Peter and a few other lawyers, we decided to work with Peter. Peter was honest, thoughtful, and methodical in his approach. He prepared the briefing, and coached us and our son, and we ultimately met with the DCF hearing officer. The hearing officer over-turned the earlier adverse ruling, and we were delighted at the successful outcome. Peter was terrific to work with and my wife, son, and I would all unhesitatingly recommend him.
Peter Hahn came highly recommended to us from two different friends. Peter had won what they were seeking for their children from their schools. I immediately contacted Peter for a consultation. He answered all my questions, and I felt very comfortable with him and confident of his expertise and experience. Peter was wonderful to work with. He was knowledgeable and knew exactly how to proceed. He worked hard and was invaluable at school meetings. He won what we needed for our teenager quickly, and we are forever grateful.
We were referred to Mr. Hahn when our son was facing criminal juvenile charges. Our son was in much distress at that point and needless to say, we were as well. Mr. Hahn was very available, answered all of our questions clearly, developed a trusted relationship with our son, while still keeping us actively in the loop. We were most impressed by what we observed in the courtroom, as it was clear that the judge and other relevant parties knew him well, deeply respected his work, and communicated to us that they believed he always conducted himself with the utmost integrity. A time in our lives we would not wish on anyone, but Mr. Hahn is who we would recommend you and your child have in your corner if such a need arises.
Mr. Hahn was extremely helpful to our family in dealing with a special education issue. Mr. Hahn attended our daughter's IEP meeting with us and helped us get the services needed. He is very knowledgeable and very thorough. Highly Recommended!
Mr. Hahn represented us for a DCF matter. We were well prepared for the process, with expectations for the outcome reasonably set. Not only did Mr. Hahn allow us to best present our case, he masterfully exposed the flaws of the DCF position. Clearly, he is an experienced and skillful attorney. The result was in our favor with a DCF reversal of their position. Mr. Hahn was highly professional, efficient and no nonsense, yet pleasant and easy to work with. We could not be more pleased with our experience and would highly recommend him.
We hired Mr. Hahn to help us obtain legally mandated services and support for our special-needs son from a reluctant and evasive school district. Mr. Hahn's thorough understanding of our case and deep knowledge of special-education law enabled him to represent our rights and underscore the district's obligations in a way that was non-provocative but highly effective. He got us what we needed without costly mediation or court action. We'd definitely hire Peter again.
Peter was recommended to us by our Special Education Advocate. He methodically gathered the information needed and communicated with very clearly. His knowledge of the process and the organizations involved was truly beneficial. Peter provided very good results in a timely manor.
My thoughts are very much like those posted by Susan on Nov. 20, 2017. But for our son, whose troubles during a school-based field trip resulted in having to address two different municipal juvenile courts, as well as the school administration, Peter was simply superb. The complexity of the situation presented quite a challenge, and at no time did I feel doubtful of any step and consultation that Peter took. Moreover, I shall be forever grateful having him stand by my son's side, literally before two different benches and figuratively in his guidance as he showed respect and confidence in my son's ability to face his situation with honesty. There are other layers to the situation, not least of which was adolescent identity issues. Suffice it to say that Peter was the expert we needed, and a confident role model we very much needed at the time.
We met Peter by accident in the halls of the district courthouse, when the school system brought us and our 14-year old daughter before the judge due to school refusal. Middle school was a traumatic experience for her socially; a brilliant child (with purportedly mild autism) she gained 60 pounds her first year and developed OCD. Her inability to attend was seen as bad behavior / poor parenting, and noone asked "Is this an appropriate education?", until we met Peter. He referred us to a neuropsych specialist, and helped us take the school system to court to secure an outside placement. She is now a community college graduate and seeking her 4 year degree at school in Boston. Not to be dramatic, but it is likely that this course of action saved her life. Thanks Peter!
