Words cannot convey how crucial Peter Berry was to helping me get through a scary and overwhelming divorce. His demeanor was always professional yet compassionate, and he enthusiastically tackled even the craziest obstacles my case presented. Originally referred to me by my best friend (who also raves about the wonderful experience she had with him), I, in turn, recommended Peter to another friend who has been also been very satisfied with Peter's expertise and courteousness, as well as his prompt response time. GREAT LAWYER.

Peter Berry was insightful and knowledgeable. He has completed 2 divorces for me. Was efficient, comprehensive, and affordable. I recommended him to someone else who also used him and was satisfied.

We hired this lawyer December 2012 for a child support case, we paid him at our 1st visit. He told my fiancée and I (his clients) he would file the court papers within a few days of our meeting to get the situation resolved. Our meeting was December 2012 Mr. Berry filed for a court date July 2014 which is definitely not a few days it's 2 and a half years and the whole time he kept telling us it was because the Baltimore City courts are so crowded. We understood they are crowded but not a 3 and half year wait crowded, he procrastinated and was dishonest the whole time in which the truth was he hadn't even made an attempt to file for years after we paid him $1,500 at our initial visit. Well 3 and a half years later we finally received a court date in August 2015 because Peter Berry had just filed the year before. Part of the reason for the court date was a modification which Mr. Berry never even mentioned to the judge. I know for a fact that the paperwork was filed by Mr. Berry July 2014 because I called the court house and it is also clearly stated on Maryland case search.

I have left numerous messages sent certified mail to him and have received no return phone calls also he told myself and another family member that we were not allowed to go through our deceased fathers estate he is very shady it was not my choice to use him but the court appointed him based on some false accusations made in court by other family members who lied under oath this guy has dragged his feet not only on this estate but also on my mothers two years ago I wouldn't advise anyone to use him

After paying a retainer fee of $2500, Mr. Berry told me he'd email me a draft of my divorce complaint. I waited over a month after receiving nothing to call and inquire what had happened. Laura, his paralegal, told me to look through my emails for it. I called back when I couldn't find evidence of any correspondence from Peter Berry. She said he'd email it to me again. Five days later, still nothing. When I emailed him directly, he finally sent it the next day containing another child's name, not my own child's name. After claiming he'd file my divorce papers within a week, he neglected my case for over 2 months until I finally called to inquire what had happened once again. He said the court was holding up the process but that he could not explain why because "I just wouldn't understand." However, he later admitted to the Attorney Grievance Commission that he misplaced my file in the process of moving his office. I had enough of his lack of concern for me and my son and wanted my money back. Peter Berry gave me a "courtesy" refund of a few hundred dollars, but kept $1000 for doing virtually nothing except keep me from sleeping, worried about why he would treat a client so disrespectfully. If I could give 0 stars, I would. He failed to work with due diligence, failed to keep me informed about my case, paid little attention to detail, and acted deceitfully and condescending toward me.
