We are truly blessed that Pete Meyers took our case. We got ourselves into a sensitive situation with family and Pete handled our case with such finesse and kindness. He explained the whole process to us, returned our calls in a timely manner, and was upfront and honest with his billing practice. We will use Pete again in the future, and we do highly recommend him to our friends.
From day 1, Pete Meyers listened to our accounting of what led up to us being threatened with eviction from our home. Due to Pete Meyers' knowledge of Oregon's Landlord/Tenant Laws, a trial was avoided by participating in a mediation with the plaintiffs. The result: we were not evicted!!!!
Excellent representation!..Exceptional feedbacks...Very consistent in explaining process and proposal to me...Results were as he explained a winning case!...thank you, pete meyers!...donald parks
As a business owner with a commercial lease, I found myself in a difficult place with my landlords honoring the terms of my lease. I did everything I could to resolve the situation. When that proved less than fruitful I sought out professional help. Pete was recommended to me through a family friend. I could not be more pleased with the results. Pete is both professional and incredibly proficient at his craft. We were able to achieve a resolution that I am satisfied with. I hope to never need legal representation again, though if I find that I do, I will certainly hire Pete again.
Pete helped me to address a conflict with a tenant who was violating several terms of her lease. The situation was further complicated due to the pandemic and the additional legal protections the tenant was privy to around this time. During our consultation Pete honed quickly into the situation with asking all the right questions. He explained clearly and concisely what my rights were and what I had to do to remedy the situation. He was selective in advising which violations I might have a case against and which ones I might have trouble contesting based on Oregon law and legal precedent. His instructions to me were very clear and working with him clarified a muddy situation for me and gave me the confidence to deal with a truculent tenant. Pete knows landlord-tenant law very well and gives sound legal advice based on the letter of the law. During the time I worked with him he answered voicemails and emails promptly. I didn't have to wait long to get a clarification on any questions I had. The matter came to a successful conclusion and working with Pete has been a pleasure and money well spent.
Had difficulties with a tenant at our rental, had tried to resolve on my own but got to a place where I didn't have a choice other than litigation. I went to the County's Court page and read through how to file a case and was confused and frustrated at how it was laid out. I was referred to Pete Meyers through another real estate law professional who added that in the state of OR, he was the best. When I reached Pete and explained my situation, he confidently stated that we had a case and he would draw up and file the needed paperwork. Within two weeks we had our court date and two weeks after that my tenant was out and the property was back in our hands. Can't say enough about how Pete's knowledge and understanding resolved a very frustrating and tough situation for us!
Pete was a pleasure to work with. he was very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. If we need an attorney again he will be my first choice.
After having trouble getting an eviction, due to misunderstandings of the Pandemic restraints on evictions by another attorney; my realtor referred me to Pete Meyers. My first meeting with Mr Meyers was very pleasant and he was concise, making me feel confident and secure in his understanding of the pandemic restrictions. If I ever have to do this again, I would; give him exactly what he requests, and nothing more, and follow his directions completely and wait for him to call, and simply let it happen. Excellent work and comfortable communication.
Pete was very helpful with a situation we had as landlords and our property management company. Our tenants were great but the property management company neglected to write our lease contract properly. The tenants were due a relocation fee due to this contract being written poorly. The property management said we were liable for this fee but we felt they were since we had expressed our intention to move back into our house. Pete was able to take all the information and emails between us and the management company, and confirm that they were in fact liable for the relocation fee and not us. He helped us determine their negligence and help us confirm that we were in fact in the right. We had paid for his hour consultation and was able to move forward with the knowledge he had given us.
I needed a lawyer with knowledge of rental owners rights and tenants right in the county of Multnomah, City of Portland. I called around and got a referral for Pete Meyers. I've been very pleased with his professionalism in these matters. Because of the state covid laws my hands were pretty tied as to what I could do should evicting a couple of tenants. We were finally able to get o e tenant out of my property but it took months and months to do because of the court situation. We were also able to get an agreement from the other tenant to vacate within three months of a court date that was against them. Long hard trying process and very frustrating!! I really enjoyed working with Pete and would recommend his serve to others!
