After two years of treatment for a work related injury I was told by my attending workmans compensation physician, "There is nothing else we can do for you," and I was released from treatment. I was still experiencing a great deal of pain and many days the pain interfered with my dail teaching duties. I was at a loss of what to do next, I knew I had to do something but I didn't know what. I discussed my dilemma with a colleague and he highly recommended Barbara Furutani. I immediately made an appointment and presented my file to Barbara. She carefully reviewed my file and asked several questions about my treatment and my health. She agreed to take my case and I felt relieved. She immediately directed me in the right direction. Appointments that I attemped to make with little success were scheduled and the wheels began to turn. My anxiety level lessened and the much needed treatments began to make a difference in the way I felt physically, mentally, and emotionally. I was so thankful to have someone that cared about my treatment and well being. Barbara and her staff kept me informed of the progress being made regarding my case, answers to questions and phone calls were always answered in a timely manner. I am confident that Barbara and her staff are qualified, knowledgeable, and professional and I am completely satisfied with the service provided by her firm. I have and will continue to recommend Barbara Furutani to friends, family and colleagues when and if excellent legal representation is needed.
She hasn't talked to me in over 19 months about my case. I give up since I have no clue what's going on.
My case was complex. She rarely listened and was often rude. Then we went to first settlement hearing and it was obvious she was either on Pinnacol's side or didn't have a clue. She forced a settlement 3 times less than promised so her and her staff could vacation. Proud to show she's rated #1. You mist ask by whom? I got shafted firsr by Pinnacol then her. Get ready once settled wirh open medical, she gets a cut of your payment and Pinnacol restarts denying every procedure approved in the past, and she get more rude. She's a player in Pinnacol's game of make you pay (and hurt).
