About
In www.AndersonDodson.com I recover unpaid and underpaid wages and compensation for employeees who should been paid correctly in the first place in NY, CO & GA. I also review and negotiate employment contracts and tricky workplace situations in general. At www.NewLeaf.Family, I work with Coloradans experiencing family and relationship disputes and transitions, with a mission of empowering my clients to make the best decisions for themselves and their families and then working with them to see that through.I actually care about getting my clients what they deserve, I'm persistent and tenacious, and I know what I'm doing. In regard to my wage practice, I represent individuals (and classes of individuals) in cases including unpaid and underpaid wages (overtime, minimum wage, commission nonpayment, improper tip payment practices... basically anything related to workers not getting paid what they should have). I do this on a contingency basis the vast majority of the time, so that clients don't have to pay my fees out of their pockets. I also review employment contracts (non-competes, severance agreements, etc.) for a flat fee to give my clients predictability, and try to offer advice beyond just a technical legal analysis based on over a decade of experience watching how things tend to play out in various employment situations.I also decided to engage in family law work because I believe that there is a better way to handle these difficult transitions than I've seen. I'm a member of the New York, Colorado and Georgia Bars, and actively handle cases in all three jurisdictions.

SHE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT HER JOB. SHE CARES FOR HER CLIENTS. VERY EASY TO TALK TO AND HAVE A VERY DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF THE LAW PERTAINING TO LABOR ISSUES.
I hired Ms. Dodson for a dispute with a former employer. She and her associates were clear and straightforward with me throughout the discussions and eventual settlement. They got me the money I was owed with a minimal investment of time and effort. I will recommend Penn Dodson's firm to my friends and colleagues, and I intend to contact them first if I ever have the misfortune of dealing with a shady employer again.
I want to thank Penn for all she did for me. Penn's professionalism is unmatched, not only in her industry, but in all industries. Penn's communication was outstanding as she walked me through every step of my case. When I walked into the courtroom with her I felt invincible knowing I had her on my side. I had a great outcome of my case, and I truly believe no other Attorney could have gotten me the results she did. If you are looking for someone that has your best interests in mind, and simply not there to get a quick percentage, Penn is the one you need! Thank you again Penn it was truly a pleasure. Mark
Penn Anderson Dodson was very helpful, not only because she succeeded in getting the results I had hoped for, but because she was an excellent communicator, respectful, and extremely thoughtful in putting together the pieces of the puzzle that I could never have done own my own. I give this lawyer an A+ and would definitely go to her again for other work. Certainly I'd recommend her to any friend or family, too.
AndersonDodson does great work! I hired them to help me get some wages my former employer wasn’t paying me after I had tried unsuccessfully to deal with the situation myself. I’m glad I did. Not only did I get the money I was owed, but I even got a little extra on top of that. Also, along the way the process was totally painless, and in fact I wasn’t even in the country for most of the time it was being handled! The attorneys and staff had great lines of communication with me; they were pleasant to work with and explained things clearly along the way. For anyone who has been underpaid at work, I highly recommend AndersonDodson!
Hi my name is Scott and I am very pleased with Penn Dodson's work. I was able to settle a case that became a class action against an employer who was in direct violation of both State and Federal laws. I have recommended Penn Dodson to all I have encounter in the food industry whose rights were being violated. She is the person you want in your corner fighting for your rights. Her professionalism is par none. Thanks Penn......
Ms. Dodson represented me in a case that others had turned down. She performed her duties extremely well.
I hired this attorney to draft a letter of appeal to the City University of New York (CUNY) because I have been unfairly denied a place on a CUNY civil service list for which I qualify. This attorney and I discussed at that time that CUNY has a 2-step appeal process. I paid her $450 to do a rough first draft of a short letter. When the first step of the appeal process did not succeed, this attorney stopped responding to my communication and then told me she was no longer available. I bit my tongue and moved on. But what really made me post this negative feedback after all is that she couldn't leave well enough alone but instead just now sent me a letter telling me how honored she was to represent me and that she considers this case closed (when I am still waiting for word on the second step of the appeal -- which I had to write on my own). And she didn't even get the party (CUNY) right in her letter, instead listing one of CUNY's components as the party simply because I had once worked at that part of CUNY.
