About
Today's seniors step into a healthcare and financial system that is infinately more complex than any other generation of Americans has ever experienced. I see it as my calling to help them get all the information that they need to set and adjust their financial and healthcare goals. I concentrated in elder law nearly twenty years ago when I saw so many of my clients losing their life savings to nursing home care - all because they weren't aware of the benefits that were available to them such as Veterans Benefits for those who served during times of war.As a second generation advocate for seniors, I have helped older Americans and their families design Estate and Life Care Plans that assure that loved ones are taken care of while saving as much of their hard-earned money as possible. I have taken a great deal of time and effort to pull together a team of people who share his passion for helping seniors. Each member of my team has a special talent or expertise that helps clients accomplish their goals.Every family deserves the right to control what happens to them and to their estate. I see it as my duty and obligation to provide my community with information and education so that they can take advantage of every option that is available to them.

My parents who lived out of state were dealing with a big dilemma around their estate and elder care planning. They had worked for decades, saved as much as they could so that they would not be a burden on their children and so that they would be prepared for any challenges that came up (such as needing nursing home care). I felt completely unprepared for this and had no idea how I could help my parents deal with this. Another concern I had was getting the information and education I needed knowing that I would NOT be able to hire a local attorney- since my parents are in another state. I was so impressed! I got an appointment the week I called and Paul took nearly an hour to ask me questions so that he would have a good understanding of what my parents' goals might be. I learned so much more than I can even share in this short space. I can only tell you that he was extremely caring and generous with his time and information. Not only that, but he referred me to a colleague in the state where my parents lived! I feel like I have a real advocate in Paul and his team at the Stano Law firm and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking answers and results in this very confusing and overwhelming space. Two things he told me that I will never forget and that I will pass on to you -- 1. When you're out of money, then you're out of options -- so you never want to be of either. 2. There is a law for the informed and a law for the uninformed -- you definitely want to be INFORMED. Paul and his team will help you achieve your elder and life care goals. He did for me and my family. When it's my turn (and that won't be long) I'll be coming to Stano Law.
He saved us a ton of money. If you don't hire him you are going to lose a lot of money.Paul did a great job
My husband Allen is currently at Mt. Alverna and I wanted to make sure that he could stay there. The pandemic has made this such a stressful time as I’ve not been able to see my husband in about six months! Paul Stano and his staff were very helpful and got my husband on Medicaid. Everyone at the Stano Law Firm office is so nice that I have already recommended people and will continue to tell others.
“I’m so glad I found out about Paul Stano. He was very warm and kind to me, working to get Medicaid for my mother who was in a local nursing home. Paul was there for my mother and me. He was a very good listener, hearing what my mother’s situation was, and what was required to get things successfully accomplished. Paul then went to work on our behalf, explaining to me what was needed to be done. I’ve seen what happens when you don’t receive this kind of expert help and know of a situation where the home was lost to help pay for nursing home care. Thank God I found Paul by going to one of his free seminars. He made it possible for me to sleep well at night, knowing that my mother was well taken care of.”
I’ve known Paul Stano for many years, and still use his services to this day. He’s helped my family and me in so many ways. He’s done living wills and estate planning for me. Then as my parents got up in years, I called upon Paul to help develop a game plan to help pay for future long-term care expenses for them if needed, and he remained their attorney for the rest of their lives. Paul was involved every step of the way drawing up wills and trusts for them, and then assisting with things like Medicaid and obtaining VA benefits. When both my parents required long-term care, Paul was a master at making sure these costs were covered, plus he was able to make sure there was some money left in their estate to be left to my sister and I, which my parents wanted very much to occur. The entire process was very complex. If you’re not careful, you can lose a lot of money paying for healthcare costs. You need someone by your side to help figure everything out, and to be able to successfully navigate through the process. Paul Stano was that man. He handled everything from A-Z and did it in expert fashion. It’s great to know he’ll be there for me when I need him again in the future.
Paul and his staff are very on top of everything and very friendly and kind. He is top notch.
Attorney Paul Stano is obviously well-versed and quite experienced. However I found him arrogant and smug. Our elderly family member was quite hard of hearing, and at one full-family meeting when we were frustrated with loud repetition and crosstalk, Mr. Stano laughed -- not with us but AT US -- and said the family would be perfect for a funny broadcast on YouTube or America's Home Videos. Utterly disrespectful and unprofessional given Mr. Stano's specialty in Elder law.
