When served with my first and only complaint, I placed my defense and my career in Patrick's hands. I am so glad that I did. He worked tirelessly to challenge the plaintiff's allegations. He was always available to discuss my case, and he quickly learned complex medical concepts. Patrick's motions were well written and his arguments were strong. So strong, in fact, that my case was dismissed. I wholeheartedly recommend Patrick and his team to any physician accused of malpractice.

Patrick was assigned to handle my first and only medical malpractice case. Superficially ,he seems to be knowledgeable and interested in the client ( me). However, he will divert little of the work himself other than Bragg about how good he is. He has his juniors do almost all the work and he really proved to me he could not care less about my outcome or future! Allow me to explain. 1.i had to repeatedly call his office for an update and explanation to what was happening with my case instead of him calling me, his client! He never seemed to really know other than a very nonchalant general overview! 2. After many months, he talks me into settling the case though I was 100% innocent yet he claimed if I settled there would be less ambiguity and the medical board would not get involved etc etc. surprisingly, they did get involved and their first question was, " if you are innocent, why settle?". I could have kicked myself in the rear for taking Patrick stockalper as my lawyer and trusting his horrible advice! So as you can imagine, now I must deal with the board. 3. While preparing to personally deal with the board issue, I ask Patrick to please help me get simply copies of all depositions records etc. he of course offers his professional help with as you can imagine, a large retainer and reluctantly allows me to photo copy all the info my malpractice insurance paid him well over 150 k for!!! Amazingly, as I sat in his conference room making copies, he made me pay 60 dollars coping fee In advance because " he did not want to be stuck with the copying fee"! Yes, believe it or not, after making well over 150k for settling my case, his biggest worry now as I have to deal with the board is ....you guessed it 60 dollars for photocopying!!!! He then says as I'm about to leave his office " I would be glad to represent you with the board because whatever YOU do personally will not work". Surprisingly yet again, I deal with the board on my own stating every fact along with proof of my version, and in three months I was 100% acquitted of all charges!!! In summary, I am not saying Patrick stockalper is not perhaps a good attorney if he wanted to be, what I am saying is that he does not care about his clients and I would go further to say he is negligent in his preparation and execution of his defense with his clients!! I would definitely admonish anyone who cares deeply about their case to stay as far away from Patrick stockalper as possible!!!!!!
