Scott Roby defended me in a case where I thought I was not ever going to win in Indiana, but he told me to have patience and he will win this case. His charge was fair, and his persistence was constant. He battled with an ""unruly and ill-mannered" prosecutor who just wouldn't have compassion, but he managed to get this prosecutor to break, and in my favor. I was a case he probably dredged because of the time he spent on it, but maybe I'm wrong, but I believe he was generally concerned, and didn't ask for more money, whereas most attorneys' would. Scott did the right thing, and achieved the goal we were after. I would definitely trust and hire Scott again, however Lord willing I don't ever need him again. Thank you so much, CTJ
I am a Special Forces Recruit for the U.S Army. On the day I enlisted, I made the mistake of celebrating my long-time dream coming true, with a couple friends at the bar. Little did I know that decision would drastically effect the next six months of my life. Upon arrival back to my residence I own, I was involved in an altercation with an acquaintance (I discovered later he was a multiple felon). I asked him to leave multiple times. My friends and I begin to walk to my front door, as he appeared to leave my property. As I approached the door, the acquaintance charged me from behind, and sucker punched me in the back & side of my head several times. This was a poor decision, as kickboxing & jiu-jitsu have been hobbies of mine for years. I ended the fight quickly. I did nothing more than what was absolutely necessary to keep my residence safe. It was textbook self-defense. Little did I know the Police had been called. When they arrived I was arrested, and charged with a Class A Misdemeanor Battery- Resulting in bodily injury. He left in an ambulance, at the time with no charges. Once I was released on bond, I called Scott Roby. It was late in the day on a Saturday, and he happily took my call. We scheduled a meeting for early that Monday morning. My witnesses & I met with Scott and presented the facts. We reviewed the possibilities. Mr. Roby did not make me any promises of an outcome. I do not have a criminal record, and as stated before I am a Special Forces Recruit. Regardless, this matter seemed to drag on forever, despite Mr. Roby's amazing connections and diligence . The man who attacked me was out to ruin me, and wanted me discharged from the military. I truly feel like Scott began to take my case personally. He fought harder, as we continued to mount a case against the assailant. Mr. Roby painted an accurate portrait of who I am as an individual to prosecutor. After much deliberation, he was able acquire a full dismissal w/ prejudice of my case. If it were not for Scott T. Roby, I would not be leaving for Army Basic Training in March 2014. This man literally saved my future. Because of him, I am now have the opportunity to follow my dream of being a U.S Army Special Forces Green Beret. For that I say, HOOAH Mr. Roby! I thank you for service. You are truly an MVP of your craft!
