Paid $300 for him to help with traffic offensives in 2009. Lawyer did not show up to court and promised to refund me my money I paid. Over the next 3 years I tired to get ahold of him, even go back to his office, which was no longer there. In one email I received from him he stated- "I apologize that this matter fell through the cracks. I closed my law practice down in January of 2010 and spent all of 2010 winding down my remaining caseload. Unfortunately, this meant that the larger cases got resolved before a smaller traffic case like yours. In addition, if one of your tickets was successfully resolved, then your case file could have been marked "completed" rather than having a notation that a $300 refund was owed. However, if we promised you a refund, I want to honor that promise. Please forward your latest address as any law files I had are in storage. Thank you." After following his directions and responding promptly to any emails I was actually able to receive from him, I never received my refund. I have never been burned by someone who was suppose to be professional and trustworthy. Throwing away $300 is no laughing matter. I couldn't even take him to small claims due to not having more information then his name (so I was told) since he shut his office down (circa 2009). Avoid him if he is still in practice.
