From the get go my divorce was contentious and scary. Pat kept me from the ledge, provided sound and experienced advice and was overall a fantastic lawyer to work with. Pat could have followed all of my desires for contempt motions, etc. but she was very good at explaining the pros and cons and was very conscientious of where her time and my money was spent.
I came to Pat with a very complicated case involving domestic violence after having a horrible experience with a previous attorney who was harsh toward me, didn't explain my options well, intimidated me and did not treat me with general respect. Pat has been a shining example of an attorney who genuinely cares for her clients, listens to them, explains options clearly with excellent reasoning & represents you with strength & compassion. She was so amazing that I informed the WA State Bar association of her work in my case and she received an award. Throughout my experience I have always felt that she would stand up for my daughter and I and at the same time she would realistically inform us of all the realities and options in front of us. She always respected how I wanted to move forward and I highly valued and trusted her experience/advice when doing so. When I think about how individuals in family law can impact the world I honestly think of Pat. She tries to stand up for what is healthy for families in each individual case with amazing ethics and professionalism versus just doing what the norms are just because it's the norm. Working with her has been both a blessing and inspiration in my life....although divorce is a horrible thing to walk through I've been honored to have her walking by my side and seeing her work makes me want to be a better mother and person.
My husband and I are very impressed with Pat and how she handled our case. She was very easy to talk to, willing to listen and provided practical and useful information. It's evident that she is very knowledgeable in family law. We would not hesitate to engage her again if necessary and would recommend her to our friends and family.
Pat did a tremendous job wih my divorce. I had a horrible attorney and she took me in. She was commasionate, caring, extremely knowledgable, and helped me stay focused on what was best for myself and my children. She has helped me with on going issues since my divorce, i.e., contempt of court charges, child support issues, parenting plan issues, etc.,. She is wonderful, knows the law and I would recommend her to anyone. I will always be grateful for all that she has done.
Pat is a very pragmatic advocate. She is comfortable giving her professional perspective under uncertain circumstances. While she can "go dark" communication-wise when she is very busy, she has always delivered on schedule and is manageable. I absolutely recommend Pat to others.
Highest integrity, puts overall family interests first, very knowledgeable & experienced, well-respected. Added benefit: good, "real" person we genuinely liked.
Divorce is as tough as it gets. Pat's calm manner and excellent listening skills helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. She was mindful of my desire to be generous and patient with my spouse but also took care of my interests as well. She puts a human face on the law. My 'Fair' rating of her responsiveness is a result of my having to 'prod' her a couple of times when I hadn't heard anything for awhile. (Usually it was just a heavy caseload or some time away from her office.) Admittedly I've no experience with what the protocol is regarding this so I may be off base here. I will say that she always did come through when needed!
