I had an employment dispute with a former employer and brought my documentation to Ms. Branch, she stated her retainer fee and provided consultation. Ms. Branch clearly verbalized that I had a solid case and stated her retainer fee. The next day, after I met with my employer, I called Ms. Branch and she again stated her retainer fee and said that we could not move further with the case until I paid her the retainer fee. When I got home and checked the mail, there was a letter mailed on the date of our consultation meeting from Ms. Branch stating that my case was strong enough for her to pursue. I am accepting of Ms. Branch's letter and viewpoint, but the letter was a direct contradiction to Ms. Branch's verbal statements to me before and after she consulted me and sent her letter to my address.
