Britney McPheron is a strong gifted lawyer and genuinely kind human being. When my daughter’s father began suing her and me, we turned to Britney for help to stop his bullying. Britney McPheron was very compassionate as my daughter described the abuse to which she had been subjected on visitations over the years, and Britney immediately developed a plan of action to protect my child and give her resources to help her heal. Britney was brilliant in the court room every single time! She was completely unaffected when the opposing party yelled at and over her; she remained calm and collected and knowledgeable and simply got the job done. Britney let us know realistic expectations and possible outcomes, prepared us thoroughly for each court appearance, worked with our lower socioeconomic status without ever treating us differently than high-paying clients, kept constant encouraging communication to help us through the psychological impact of setting boundaries with the abuser, and genuinely had our backs the whole time. Britney worked with the Guardian Ad Litem, judges, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively; she diligently worked for the healthiest possible outcome for our family, representing us accurately in each communication and consistently checking in with us to ensure we were on the same page. Britney McPheron accomplished what we thought was impossible: she won my daughter the right to say yes or no to her own visitation. She freed my child and myself from an abusive human being. And she didn’t stop there. Britney McPheron then won us the correct amount of child support, which we hadn’t even hoped for, AND won us our attorney fees paid back in full! That was a miraculous day, and Britney McPheron just smiled and humbly went back to working for her other clients, like WonderWoman with a law degree. If you need a strong, fearless, trustworthy, honest, kind, absolutely brilliant lawyer who makes you believe in justice for all, call Britney McPheron.
Mrs McPheron was on my legal plan and I essentially choose her because of that. I was worried about it essentially being a 'free' service, but she was great. I didn't have a lot of issues (no custody battles), but there still is so much. She was very patient answering any questions and even after the divorce was final answered a question for me. We communicated mainly by email, which I preferred and made it easy to keep track. I would recommend Mrs McPherson. T.D.
I do not think that the 4000 characters that this text box allows is enough to properly describe how amazing and remarkable Britney is. Britney was retained last minute to represent me in a nasty custody battle within a week of the trial date. Between Britney and April, they put together a powerful presentation and amazing case that made the mother just walk out of the courtroom and get in her car and drive away right in the middle of the trial. As funny as this may sound, it is a true testament to the dedication and willingness to prepare above and beyond for her clients. I put off retaining counsel because I didn't think that a lawyer was really needed in a custody battle where the mother was obviously unfit, but throughout the process Britney was more of a friend than a lawyer. No matter what time of the day or night, she was only an email or phone call away to answer some of the craziest questions or calm any concerns that I had. Retaining Britney and her firm to represent me was truly one of the smartest things I have done. I see a few negative posts regarding billing. While I can only speak from my personal experiences, I can assure you that the money that I spent, was more than worth it. A good lawyer, especially one that deals with family/domestic cases, is not going to be cheap. If you are bargain shopping, you will more than likely end up with a bargain lawyer. There are so many factors that play into the final cost of custody cases. I received quotes ranging from 2-13k for a lawyer in my personal case. My final fees were nowhere near that amount. To be honest, I would spend it all over again if needed. You cannot put a price tag on a powerful lawyer that will genuinely represent you like Britney and her firm did. Simply put, if you have a custody or divorce case, I would not recommend anyone besides Britney.
I have dealt with Britany for the past year. I followed her from her previous firm to the one she currently is a part of now. The first thing I can say about Britany is her attention to detail. In the matter of my child support case, she had multiple scenarios mapped out and ready to hand to the judge. She was overly prepared, which is exactly what you want in any court case, especially one involving numbers and figures as a support case usually does. She is very knowledgeable and extremely approachable. There is a sincerity in her demeanor that can get lost in many lawyers. She is very open, fair, and honest with her rates, and is more than willing to explain anything she charges you. In the courtroom, Britany is all business. She is soft spoken, but factual and very direct. In my experience she not a vindictive or belligerent lawyer. She presents facts, and will back those facts up in a very professional and calm manner. In closing I would (and will) hire Britany as my council again. To those reading this review, I would suggest you strongly consider hiring her as your lawyer, you will not be disappointed with the level of professionalism and service she will give you.
Ms. McPheron is a phenomenal lawyer. She cares about the best interest of the child/children involved in the case. She communicated effectively and efficiently because she kept me in the know regarding all aspects of my case. I didn't have any questions about my case because she let me know what was going on from the beginning to the end, and she represented me for five months. Whenever we talked, she listened to my concerns, and I NEVER felt like I was bothering or boring her. She is a professional lawyer who understands the law and the best interest of your child/children.
I had hired her for a custody case just for her to leave me six grand in the hole and leave the law firm in the middle of the case. And to top it off she basically told my exs lawyer it would be better to "table the matter" since she was leaving and did absolutely nothing to help my case. She then tried sendin me a bill from her new law firm that had nothing to do with my case as well. If I could give her zero starts I would do it in a heartbeat because 1 star is way too generous. I just wish I knew then what I know now so I could have avoided this entire situation.
The lawyer I originally hired was moving to another state and Britney was another lawyer in the firm who took on my case. I had bad representation from her and I am now 10 grand in the hole and nothing has changed with my custody. She misspoke on my behalf in the court room by saying I agreed with the other party, which was not the case at all. Why would I hire a lawyer to just agree keep things the same right? She made me think things were going to go one way and they didn't. And before I even realized what was going on it was too late then she didn't care to do anything to fix it. A few weeks after court, she left the firm.

She made me think things were going to go one way and they didn't. And before I even realized what was going on it was too late then she didn't care to do anything to fix it. A few weeks after court, she left the firm.
