Norman K. Short (Norm) is a partner in the law firm of GSJones Law Group, P.S. His practice areas include bankruptcy, tax planning, IRS representation, tax compliance, estate planning, probate, representation of clients before the various taxing agencies including the Internal Revenue Service, corporate law including acting as general corporate counsel, corporate and other entity formation and advisory, and general accounting advisory. Norm’s bankruptcy practice is shared with other attorneys in the firm and there is an emphasis on personal and business chapter 7 and chapter 11 bankruptcies. Norm is admitted to practice law in the State of Washington, United States District Court, United States Tax Court, United States Bankruptcy Court and admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Norm received his undergraduate degree, Bachelor’s of Science, Business Administration emphasis in accounting, from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho in 1987. He sat for and passed the Certified Public Accounting exam just prior to entering law school. He received his law degree from the University of Idaho, College of Law, in Moscow, Idaho in 1991. From there, Norm attended the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida and obtained his Masters in Laws, Taxation. Norm and his wife live near the hood canal in Kitsap County and are joyfully raising their three sons.
