I was referred to Mr. Jacobs by a friend. Best thing that ever happened to me. Gracious, bright, and articulate. I think that most divorce attorneys try to drum up business for themselves by getting both spouses more and more angry with each other. Mr. Jacobs tried to find a fair, equal ground between my wife and me. He's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. He's not in his 50s, but neither is Dr. Anthony Fauci.

I hired Norman Jacobs to represent me in my divorce. My first impression of Norman, besides the fact that he is quite old, was that he was extremely inattentive and would often ask me the same question multiple times. I am usually the type of person to follow my gut instinct, but a colleague of mine had used Norman in his divorce years ago and he seemed to have a good reputation. Not following my initial instinct turned out to be the worst mistake I could have made and ended up costing me tens of thousands of dollars. After spending nearly $200,000 on Norman, I am now involved in a costly modification proceeding (with new counsel) and am learning just how many mistakes Norman made in my case. He didn't review important documents regarding my husband's income and had me convinced that the deal I was agreeing to was fair, even though I had reservations. He completely sold me down the river. I cannot believe he is still a practicing attorney and would caution anyone considering hiring him to go elsewhere.
