As my husband was dying I asked him what I should do after he passed. He told me the first thing I should do is contact his lawyer (this man) who had prepared his will (mine as well). My husband left the house in a trust in his name (my husband's name) "for my benefit" states the will but my husband did not name a Trustee and now this man is his agent or manager. It's been over 6 months since my husband passed and I have not heard where I stand with regards to the house. I have been paying the mortgage (which I cannot afford on my income) out of my savings and had not had calls returned from Mr. H. for a month since my husband passed. As a matter of fact, I had to hire my own lawyer to get in touch with Mr. H. After paying this new lawyer close to $20,000 over six months later I don't know where I stand and I have not been reimbursed for the mortgage payments and repair expenses and other expenses that were to be covered by the Trust left by my husband in his (my husband's) name which is according to the will supposed to be for my benefit. I am running out of savings and don't know whether I'll have a house to live in next month. I can't sell the house because it's in this Trust and I'm not the Trustee and Mr. H is in charge. I have had to go see counselors and I'm seeing a psychiatrist next week because I'm so depressed I'm nearly suicidal. Neither Mr. H. nor my attorney have given me any idea or security of where I stand in this matter. If anyone else out there can help me, please help. As it stands I'm living in a house which is technically not mine and which is supposed to go to my step children after my death and which I don't feel I should have to pay the mortgage on since it is not really mine and I have no say on it. I would like the house sold and a less expensive one bought for my by the Trust in another state where I have family and where the houses and cost of living are less expensive. It will not be long before I am totally out of money and on the street. All I keep getting are bills, I have an income of less than $3,000 a month and the mortgage is over $2,000.
