Nora Barlow is a founding member of Barlow Anderson. She brings over 25 years of legal expertise and knowledge to her diverse practice and believes in providing creative solutions in a cost-effective manner and tailoring her approach based on her client’s circumstances and goals. This allows Nora to be successful in representing a varied client base ranging from large institutions to the individual. Nora’s clients also benefit from her advocacy skills developed over many years litigating before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies. If litigation is necessary, Nora’s clients know that they will have an attorney who is comfortable in the courtroom and will zealously advocate on their behalf.Nora received her J.D, with distinction and Order of the Coif, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1991 and her B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986. Nora was raised in Berkeley, California and moved to Alaska in 1991 for a federal clerkship with the Honorable H. Russel Holland, Judge, and the Honorable James M. Fitzgerald, Senior Judge, United States District Court for the District of Alaska. Prior to founding Barlow Anderson, Nora practiced in both the private and public sectors. She is admitted to practice in both Alaska and California. Nora is a frequent guest speaker in the areas of Workers’ Compensation.
