About
The Constitutional protections that exist in our country are not to be taken lightly. Every day, it seems the government is trying to remove another freedom that you hold. These freedoms and protections are valuable and that is exactly the reason that I will fight hard for you and your rights because I value my clients and their individual circumstances.I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Political Science. I then attended and graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in school I was asked to join the Sturm College of Law’s premier National Trial Team. I competed across the United States in trial events that helped prepare him for actual practice. Since graduation, I have practiced solely in criminal defense. When I was a teenager, I had an encounter with law enforcement that impacted me severely. I was accused and convicted of a crime. I had to endure jail time, probation, fines, and court costs. This negative experience is what propelled me into the practice of Law. Thus, I have made it my primary goal to help others in criminal matters. This situation also helps me have a unique view of the criminal justice system. I am more capable of helping clients and identifying with them because I was in the exact same situation as many of the people I help on a daily basis. I know what it is like to be wrongly accused of a crime and to fight against the government. As a Christian criminal attorney in the Denver Metro area, I have dedicated my life to serving the Lord in all that I do. I understand the needs of those who find themselves accused of a crime. I work diligently to pursue the best possible outcome in your case. I handle criminal cases all over Colorado and I defend people charged with any criminal matter. Contact me today to have someone on your side, fighting for you against our oppressive government.

A lady you want representing you. I was so nervous and had no clue what to do who to ask, finding Melissa was a blessing. She listened to me, answered my questions, her staff is professional and courteous. My English is good but not perfect, she and the staff had no problem with my accent. She made every effort keeping me informed about my case. My case was very old and never had been dealt with by the first attorney I paid for. I found out I had a 15 year warrant and possible charges still. I was fearful I would not get my license renewed in my current industry or the hospital job I was working towards, because of this. She took my case and after talking to her just twice I felt comfortable with her representing me. By email and phone calls she informed me every step, what she needed from me and what and how I may achieve these goals, I didn’t feel worry anymore. The judge dismissed my charges and sealed my records. The best outcome I could have wished for. M
Melissa was extremely honest in letting us know what she could accomplish with the charges and things she didn't think she could get the parole board to change. She was easy to contact and was patient with us during a very stressful situation. We couldn't have had a better outcome . We appreciated her passion for what she does and felt like she genuinely cared.
Melissa was very helpful with the DWAI case. She was quick to respond to our questions. She was able to negociate a settlement that was favorable to our situation. I really appreciate all she does.
Ms. Segers was both detail-oriented and empathetic in her approach to my case. She worked hard to defend my innocence with the DA and the DHS worker. She saw me as a person in a trying circumstance and showed me empathy despite the accusations. Her hard work, persistence and gumption earned us a full dismissal of the case! I definitely recommend her for anyone facing similar circumstances.
My experience with Ms. Segers was phenomenal. She was recommended to by two lawyers and I can see why. I was falsely accused of domestic abuse by my husband. Ms. Segers was able to not only get the case dismissed, but also have it sealed which is incredibly important for my career. She was professional, kind and willing to do anything to clear my name. I can't recommend her enough.
Mrs Seagers represented me in Denver county prior to her going to this law firm. I'd have to say that she wasn't there just for a pay check, she cares about her clients & really stands up for your rights. Straight up & honest with her clients & won't stand for no bull from the prosecution. Mrs Seagers is compassionate about her line of work. She will do great things & i highly recommend at least meeting with her cause you will know by the end of your consult that she means business. This law firm is lucky to have her!
