Nicole is professional and smart and I am able to sleep at night knowing she's on my side fighting for me. Having to retain an attorney for family matters involving children is never enjoyable but if you need someone who will truly listen and guide you correctly it's Nicole. She saved my future with my two kids and continues to make sure I have the best legal representation out there. I firmly believe she is one of the top lawyers out there. If you need one of the best give the firm a call and ask for Nicole. Ill continue to refer my family and friends her way.

I hired Nicole not too long ago to represent me in a scary divorce & custody battle. She was very knowledgeable & experienced. She was very honest with me. She let me know what was worth fighting for & what was a waste of time & money. I felt like she held my hand the entire time. Everything came out great...better than I hoped. My child is happy & healthy. I just found out there was a website for reviews & wanted to thank her publicly for her patience.

Ms. Schmidt represented me since day one over my very complicated divorce. She is the most professional attorney you will every find. Extremely knowledgeable. The law firm she works for (Bremer, Whyte, Brown & O'Meara) made a very brilliant choice bringing her into their group. Very compassionate and understanding. She always made me feel at ease. Never presented any false expectations or promises. She was very upfront and honest every time we communicated (something I really appreciated). Most importantly, she made every effort possible to save on my legal fees (something most attorneys would never do). I had all the faith in the world in Nicole and it paid off very well during my trial. Her knowledge, expertise, professionalism and experience really showed in court (just ask my wife's "seasoned" family law attorney and the judge). If you are in need of a impressive, brilliant, excellent family law attorney, Ms. Schmidt should be your first phone call. I've already recommended and referred her to a friend with a pending divorce.

Nicole provided me with amazing peace of mind in what was otherwise a terrifying and unknown situation (navigating the legalities of divorce). While I was not looking forward to this process I am thankful to have retained Nicole and her firm. She showed an amazing grasp of the law and was able to alleviate and provide clarification on all of my concerns (which were a lot). Furthermore, the results she obtained on my behalf were better than I had hoped and expected. Nicole demonstrated competence, responsiveness and empathy throughout the entire legal process. I am thankful to have worked with Nicole and her team and will HIGHLY recommend them to anybody in need of legal advice!

I was referred to Nicole and her firm from a close work associate. We have a very delicate family law matter that needed immediate attention. This was also the first time myself or anyone in our family required legal assistance. Over the years having my own negative ideas of lawyers and how they work was totally washed away when we met and started working with Nicole. She was obviously professional however was understanding and had empathy for us in our situation. She was more than helpful answering every question I had (a legal beginner) and handled the situation professionally and quickly. She made a difficult situation very bearable and allowed our family to focus on the situation and not on the legal details. She answered a question I had while she was on vacation which was not expected and went above and beyond for customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend Nicole and her firm to anyone--anytime!

Nicole was pawned off on me, for lack of better words, I went in thinking I was hiring Ms Whyte, and ended up with Miss Schmidt. She was rude through most of the process, and really did not listen, it was much easier for her to handle things in a cookie cutter fashion than to think outside the box. My biggest mistake was not getting a new attorney after our first day in court when she negotiated, I had very little involvement wirh that and was told it was only a preliminary and that we could get it changed later. Come to find out that is actually a very difficult feat. She prefers only contact through email. Once your case is finished, she mmakes it clear that she is no longer your attorney, you can rehire her for $300 an hour to ask her about your specifics about what was agreed upon in your negotiation. There's no information given on preparation for the future and in what instances you are entitled to make negotiations. Now I am paying an even steeper price by financial loss through her settling instead of fighting the fight and by hiring a new attorney to review and inform me of all that was agreed upon.

Nicole represented me in court once defending against a TRO. After this first hearing, it became clear to me that she was incompetent and too inexperience to even handle a TRO so I quickly decided to get another attorney to represent me. I was very happy with my subsequent attorney and his representation of me made me realize even more how inexperienced and incompetent Nicole was. In addition, for the one day Nicole represented me in court, she attempted to charge me over $8,000. The only piece of evidence she spent hours producing was rejected by the court and was inadmissible hearsay and character evidence. I found it very unfair to have to pay for the mistakes she made that made her representation very costly and ineffective. When an attempt was made to talk to her about the bill and ask for an itemized bill, she was very rude, unprofessional, and raised her voice. Save your money, she over charges, is unprofessional and is inexperienced. No one should have to pay such high rates for an attorney who makes mistakes and is rude to clients.
