In 1990, I went into private practice specializing in complex criminal defense law where I regularly defended first degree murder cases, federal conspiracy and racketeering cases, and white collar crimes achieving notoriety on television and in newspapers. Nick was referred a wrongful death case involving a relative, He gave my wife's cousin excellent advice NOT to proceed with a legal action which was more likely to result in further grief than in any recovery. Normally, a personal injury lawyer will "roll the dice", hoping to coerce a settlement from a deep pockets defendant. Athought I agreed with his recommendation not to pursue the matter , my wife's cousin did not follow the advice, She was eventually forced to trial, which may have been cathartic to some extent but which was, on the whole, merely a repeat of bad memories.
I met Nick in February after a car accident in January where I had sustained an injury. He came highly recommended. Before hiring Nick my life was full of stress and pain. Nick has help to alleviate my stress by handling all the "issues" with the insurance company. Which, in turn, has allowed me space to relax and focus on the healing journey of my body.
