Nick's practice is devoted entirely to property tax appeals. Nick represents owners and occupants of all types of commercial property, including apartments, shopping centers, hotels, auto dealerships, office buildings, industrial facilities, and medical office buildings. Each year, Nick achieves substantial reductions in his clients' assessed values, yielding millions of dollars in tax savings in Minnesota. Additionally, Nick's firm serves as the Minnesota property tax specialist in the National Property Tax Group, which provides property tax reduction services across all 50 states through its network of local and regional boutique property tax firms. Nick was the Chairman of the IPT's 2014 Property Tax Symposium and is a past Chairman of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Tax Council. Nick has served on the IPT Property Tax Symposium Committee since 2010. For years, Nick has been a frequent lecturer on the topics of property taxes, valuation, legal writing, and negotiation to audiences of appraisers, attorneys, commercial real estate brokers, property managers, and corporate tax personnel.
