About
If not knowing the answer to a question drives you crazy, we have a lot in common. In fact, that was the main reason why I became an attorney. Before law school, I worked as a technology consultant for a Big 4 firm and owned a small business—and I felt apprehensive every time I encountered a legal issue. I found it challenging to find any clear guidance that would help me solve the real-world problems I faced. Additionally, it always seemed that well-intentioned people came out on the losing end too often in court, and that law was only there to penalize the unwary. As a result, I went to law school to get the knowledge I needed to defend myself as a small business owner. After enrolling at law school, my attitude towards the law changed pretty quickly, largely due to a case from my property law class, Armory v. Delamirie. Here’s a quick rundown: in England back in 1722, a poor, young chimney sweeper found a jewel and went to a jeweler to have it appraised. The jeweler lied about its value, and when the boy demanded the return of the jewel, the jeweler kept it. While most of the students in the class, myself included, were wrapped up in the legal rules and issues involved in the case, my property professor pointed out a fact that we all overlooked—the chimney sweeper was poor, and had no means or resources to get the jewel back. Somewhere, a compassionate lawyer listened to the devastated child and cared about him enough to represent him without any expectation of a fee—and that lawyer won back the value of the jewel. The lawyer also won back my faith in the legal system, as I realized that the law can immeasurably help people, especially when they are in the hands of an attorney who cares. Every day, I’m motivated by the desire to help clients—taking their great opportunities, personal dilemmas, or major life changes, and transforming them into defining moments in their lives. I take that job very seriously, and I work hard to earn and maintain the trust of my clients. Outside the office, I enjoy woodworking, watching movies, and perfecting "Blackbird" by the Beatles on guitar. I also do a lot of volunteer work, mainly with the Union West Rotary Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross.

Nate did a great job in advising on how to build a tax and estate strategy that saves us significantly. Easy to work with, very hard working and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Nate to anyone looking for estate planning and general legal counsel.
Last February my mother fell and broke her hip, and I quickly discovered that everything we thought had been settled with her money years ago wasn't. The hospital social worker was recommending that she file for Medicaid and I just felt like she was being pushed through the system. I did a search on Google to find Nathan and from the first phone call I knew that he had my mother's best interests at heart. He met with us and laid out a plan that would protect her house from being taken by Medicaid and was able to get us some money back for recent repairs we had made to the house. He also helped her apply for some additional money from the Veterans Department which has really helped her and eased our fears that she couldn't stay at home. It also lets me get paid for some of the work I do around the house to help her from time to time. I couldn't be happier with what he did for my mother and me. He was thorough and took the time to make sure we were fully taken care of.
Nathan was referred to us by our accountant to help my mother with applying for VA benefits and we couldn't have asked for more from an attorney. He was so nice and generous with his time, especially with my 94 year old mother who has dementia and has a hard time understanding anything. I really appreciate how he came out to meet with her since she has a hard time traveling. She was approved for benefits after three months and it has given everyone peace of mind over our ability to pay for her nursing home costs. Ive also used him to create my Will and was impressed with his knowledge and ability to educate my wife and I through the process. He doesn't talk over your head, and I've learned so much about what to do and what not to do as my wife and I enter into retirement. He's one of the good attorneys who looks out for people.
Nathan stepped in and took over a case that had been handled poorly by another attorney. I know fixing someone else's mistakes is always an issue, he just stepped in and fixed the case. When it was all said and done it cost me less than the other person was charging and the results were exactly as I had hoped for. I highly recommend Nathan.
I am a WWII veteran who served in the Army Air Corps. I met Mr. Workman after he was referred to me by a financial advisor, who spoke highly of him. The VA denied my application for Aid and Attendance pension benefits after I moved into an assisted living facility and my cost of care was quickly whittling away what savings I had without the additional funds. Mr. Workman spent a great deal of time asking me about my time overseas, which impressed me. After a two appointments, he fixed the issues with my prior application, and I was approved for VA benefits a little over 4 months after he submitted the second application. I tried numerous times to pay him for his help with my pension application but he refused to charge me for his time. The pension funds have allowed me to stay in this facility, which I would not have been able to afford otherwise. He was patient and made an effort to thank me for my service each time we spoke. I thank the good Lord for his assistance to me and would recommend him to others who need help with obtaining VA benefits. Since then, I've also used Mr. Workman to draft a will and powers of attorney. He was diligent and charged a reasonable fee. My sons have also used him for their wills based on my recommendation and they have good things to say about him as well. Mr. Workman is a fine young man and I am thankful for his help.
Mr Workman is the best attorney,by far,I've had to represent me..he's not just your lawyer, but also your friend...he really cares!!..not fake care, but real care..what a great man..I highly recomend him
After my business was served with a lawsuit by a supplier, Mr. Workman did an excellent job stepping in and defending my business. The supplier ended up dropping the lawsuit, and he reviewed all the standard agreements my business uses and improved them to make sure we wouldn't come across the same problem again in the future. He's very sharp, down to earth, and has a great business mind. I have him on speed dial and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.
Nathan helped me with getting a divorce...totally different from my last experience with a divorce attorney a few years ago. He stayed up on everything and always returned my phone calls the same day. Never had to worry about anything. Highly recommended.
Nathan was wonderful to work with. He took great interest in what I needed him to do and really valued me as a client. He took the time to listen and put together exactly what I needed. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a lawyer who is personable, a great listener, very responsive, and a really good problem solver.
