Nathan is a very competent and hard working attorney. My case was, as he labeled it, "death by a million papercuts". What is meant by this is that it wasn't a clear cut, slam dunk case with huge, glaring issues such as drug use, criminal activity or domestic abuse. It was a case with a million tiny issues that made up a larger coparenting issue which made joint custody toxic for the children and both parents, warranting a modification in custody. I imagine such a case is much more challenging for an attorney strategically. I certainly made personal mistakes along the way that likely complicated things for him, but he remained patient. I know I wasn't an easy client to deal with but Nathan was a calm presence, always patient and stayed the course. Nathan can take time to build a case, through involving third parties such as custody evaluators, therapists, forensic psychologists... etc. I would not expect any custody modification situation to be quick and easy, especially cases like mine where there is nothing slam dunk about it. I met a lady from my kids school who grew impatient with the length of time it was taking to build her case against her ex husband, left Nathan, retained another attorney, who worked faster to get her to trial, but she actually experienced set backs that were detrimental to her case. She expressed multiple times to me that one of her biggest regrets in life was not being patient with Nathan and substituting counsel. For this reason, I am proud of Nathan. He is thorough and thinks and plans ahead, even if it does take a little longer. I did win my case with Nathan's help. Modifying a joint custody parenting plan is extremely difficult. I don't want to give anyone false hope but I can say that you are in competent hands with Nathan on your team. I would recommend Nathan to anyone but my ex husband.
After reading reviews on this page over a year ago I met with Nathan and knew instantly I wanted his help in my case. During my consult he listed to what I had to say and instantly made me feel comfortable and confident in his ability to help me with my family law case. I knew my case could get complicated but he never missed a beat. His staff is extremely nice and kept me up to date every step of the way. The communication was amazing through the entire process. I highly recommend Nathan and am so appreciative of how him and his office have helped me with my case! Thank you so very much!!
Without any hesitation, I would recommend Nathan and his amazing team if you need help with a family law matter! I hired Nathan in the middle of my divorce when the situation was very bleak for me and I was losing hope of seeing my daughter very little. With his help, I was able to turn the tide and received a settlement in my favor. Alina and Rachelle were great with answering my phone calls promptly and correctly filling out court documents to Nathan's specifications. You have a voice with Nathan by your side and can trust that he will fight for your rights as a father. Also know that he will work with you financially, which enabled me to pay for his services. Thank you, Nathan, for all you have done for me and my daughter!!
Nathan took the time to listen to everything I said, no matter how scattered my brain was and how nervous or upset I was, he was there. His assistants did the same! Very kind people. Nathan is also very smart and good at what he does!!!!!
There are no words that can adequately express what The Petersen Law Firm means to me and my family. Nathan and his team helped me through the toughest year of my life and made it so my family and I can enjoy life again. They gave us hope when we thought there was none to be had. There is no hyperbole in this statement. The dedication and effort that the team put into my case was second to none and we are eternally grateful for all they did. You can't go wrong with them.
I consulted with Mr. Petersen in relation to my child custody case involving my 3 young children. I thought as a father trying to gain custody that I would be fighting an uphill battle. Mr. Petersen alleved my fears and decided to take my case. For that decision I will be forever grateful. He and his team clearly explained and guided me through the entire legal process every step of the way. In addition to the timely and accurate submission of all required legal documents, he and his team were always accessible for any and all questions concerning the progress of my case. I am now happy to say that I have full custody of my children and would highly recommend that you retain Mr. Petersen's services if you are looking for an attorney that will be there for you 150%. Thank you Nathan!
I have worked with prior family law attorneys and Nathan Petersen Law Firm was the single best I have worked with. Previous attorneys have dealt with my ex wife and found her unpleasant and difficult which is remarkable in a field defined by unpleasant difficulties. Nathan handled everything like a professional, always represented my family's best interests and was remarkably thorough. By the end he even saved me thousands by preventing my case from going to trial.
Nathan Peterson, Is a wonderful lawyer that really cares about getting you what is owed to you. He took my case from just a phone call interview . I had no money on hand which he helped me by lowering his retainer fee . So that I could afford him. He is well worth the money spent . My ex tried to take me for everything I had . He played dirty . In the end I feel that I came out on top . I got more then what I exspected .
Mr.Peterson helped us at a time when another attorney told us to" give up there was nothing we could do".My ex wife was trying to move our kids out of the state. Not only did Mr Peterson fight and win for us in court I now have my kids full time.
Wonderful staff here. They were all professional, courteous, patient, and caring. He took care of all paperwork and proceedings. I was constantly informed of the ongoing case work and any changes or motions.
