About
I am a lifelong Central Pennsylvania resident. I graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1997 and went on to graduate from Kutztown University in 2001. After graduation, I was employed full-time by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue while attending the night division student program at Widener University School of Law. After graduating from law school, I remained employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue until accepting a position at the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office. The Public Defender’s office hired me under a MacArthur Foundation grant which was created in the wake of the Luzerne County “Kids for Cash” scandal and sought to improve juvenile representation in the state of Pennsylvania. As an attorney committed to ensuring that all children receive exemplary representation in the criminal-justice system, I participated in drafting and editing a juvenile defense manual that is used by attorneys throughout the state of Pennsylvania. For over five years, I served as a board member of the Juvenile Defenders Association of Pennsylvania. I have also lectured at numerous presentations on the effective representation of juveniles in the state of Pennsylvania. While at the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office, I also represented hundreds of adult clients in various stages of the criminal process. I have represented clients at both the magisterial district judge and court of common pleas levels. In this capacity, I gained invaluable trial experience that ranged from representing clients in less complex misdemeanor trials to serious felony trials. After leaving the Dauphin County Public Defender's Office, I joined the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania's Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC). While serving in the AOPC's Judicial Education Department, I provided continuing legal education to trial judges across the Commonwealth regarding new and emerging areas of the law. In addition, I was a contributing writer for one benchbook and oversaw the creation of another benchbook, which state trial judges reference to assist in the disposition of cases.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Natalie Burston from Day 1 , just in consulting with her , she was very precise and concerned , made me feel really confident , so I hired her and in just a matter of days everything was done case closed . At all times being very professional and respectful, She will always be the lawyer I would recommend first, she was well worth my money.
After hiring and PAYING another lawyer, Natalie was hired and actually DID THE JOB the other attorney was paid to do. She had VERY little time to prepare, but you would never have guessed with how well she was able to handle the case. (defended against PFA in court) So, we tested the breadth of her knowledge with custody, child support and expungement. She is amazing. She's compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and always calm and well poised. You can't help but feel confident when she's handling your case. From paperwork to the courtroom, she's got you covered!
Miss Burston represented me in a case that could have depleted me in many ways. Miss Burston kept in regular contact with me. Explained the legal process in depth with me. I would and will use Miss Burston again no question!!! THANK YOU Miss Burston!!!
As soon as we met Natalie, we knew we made the right choice. Natalie is an expert in her field, she helped us understand the process that was involved in getting custody returned to us. She took the time to explain everything to us, and gave us clear direction on what we needed to do. We had a successful outcome, and we are so happy that we hired Natalie Burston.
I just retained her as my lawyer for some personal issues and I can say that she is compassionate and listens and I feel confident she will help me with a great outcome!
Natalie helped me to navigate my divorce during a difficult time with compassion and competence, and I recommend her highly to anyone in the area.
Helped me dismiss a ticket worth 600. Her fee was far less. Already recommended her to a friend with a high speeding ticket. Great service at affordable rates!
I cannot say enough positive things about Natalie. She really listens to what you have to say, all of your concerns etc. and she always gets back to you in a timely manner with any questions, etc. My husband and I needed to hire a custody lawyer to help our daughter (who was going thru a custody battle with her ex-husband). I googled top 10 custody lawyers in the Harrisburg area and she came up as one of them. She was the first and only one I met with (I hired her right on the spot) as I knew right away we would be making the best decision ever by hiring Natalie. She of course then met with my daughter and my daughter called me immediately after her meeting and said "mom she is so awesome" I know she truly cares. And I said yes, I felt the same way. We had the utmost confidence in Natalie and it is just such a big weight off your shoulders when you know that for something like a custody battle that you have someone like her in your corner that is going to fight for you. And not just fight but genuinely show compassion as well. She isn't just doing it for a paycheck, but to help you. My daughter said during the entire custody hearing Natalie was professional and composed and anything the other lawyer and her ex-husband tried to rouse them with Natalie handled with her expertise in the law and in the best interest of her client. And when you are in a custody battle you want someone who will fight for you in the way she does, which is by caring, being so very smart and most of all with integrity. I know that she does more than custody as well and I believe no matter what you would hire her for she is the best. FYI my daughter won but she did in a way that was in the best interest of my granddaughter which is all my daughter wanted.
She was upfront and did exactly what she said she would which is rare for an attorney
During our very first meeting, Natalie gave me her word she would work hard to get me the best outcome possible, and she did. My case was completely withdrawn at the preliminary hearing and I never even had to step in front of a judge. The first attorney I contacted didn’t even meet with me. He told me there was nothing he could do, that my case would be sent to the Court of Common Pleas and he would charge me an arm and a leg for doing nothing. I got Counselor Burston’s information from the Public Defender’s office, where she used to work. I like that she uses her skills to help regular working folk like myself, and that she supports the idea of justice for all, not just the rich and powerful. Natalie’s professionalism was reassuring during an overwhelmingly stressful time. She worked within my budget, fought hard and got me a result I didn’t even think possible. With all the lawyers available, it felt like a complete crapshoot finding a good one. I really got lucky finding her. I hope I never need Natalie again, but if I do, she’ll be the first person I call.
