Nancy was there from day one to not only help me get what I wanted, but actually help ME through this difficult time in my life. My divorce was far from an easy process, however Nancy and her team worked tirelessly in court and out of court to put my life back in order. She is a saint and even spoke to my mother and father to answer any questions they had throughout. I'd most definitely recommend her again. Thanks Nancy!!
My divorce was a civil unrest. The property and financial concerns were negligible in comparison to what I experienced with the child custody aspect of the case. The judge based the custody of my children on a “tender years ruling” which placed the majority of the custody with my children’s mother leaving me with what I consider mere visitations. I was advised that I had no grounds to challenge this ruling and should make the best of the experience and time that I was given. Several years later, as the economy turned, my children’s mother experienced a change in financial status, which in my opinion, she brought on herself. She decided that she should return to me to supplement her lifestyle. Over the years following the divorce I had returned to school obtained a graduate degree, had been promoted at my office, and had started to accept that I would make the best of the time that I had with my children. I never missed a child support payment, private school payment, birthday gift, holiday present, or any other financial contribution that would support my children and their well-being. A friend who works in the legal field recommended Nancy Dahan to me. The recommendation was based on her ability to effectively represent her client’s interests, stand firm on what is best in resolving the issues of the case, her legal knowlege and her can-do attitude. I knew from the moment of consultation that Nancy Dahan was the right person to represent my interests. She did not disappoint. She clearly presented my options, allowed me to make the choices, ran interference with the unreasonable attorney which my former which had retained and keep the children out of the issues between their mother and I. As a result of Nancy Dahan’s representation, I was granted joint legal and physical custody of my children, came to a reasonable agreement on what I would do to assist their mother with her financial challenges, and moved forward with my life with more time with my children who are now teenagers. I would highly recommend Nancy Dahan.
I hired Nancy for two separate pending actions with my ex (financial and custody) after having been divorced nearly seven years. Nancy and her team have been very thorough in reviewing the history of my case and gaining a full and complete understanding of the players involved. For the first time in nearly seven years, I feel like I am being represented by someone that truly understands the big picture of my case and is vigorously fighting for my best interests and the best interests of my children. My previous experience with family law was not a positive one. I never felt like I was represented in any of the proceedings. There was no real attempt to be thorough nor did I ever feel like there was a strategy to achieve a desired outcome. It seemed like the guidance I received was no different than that of the direction of the wind. As soon as I started working with Nancy and her team I could instantly tell that things were going to be different. The depth of the questions and conversations were different and it was clear there was an end goal in mind. I now feel like I have a teammate in my cases and that the end of this process is near and that the outcome will be a positive one. I would highly recommend Nancy and her excellent team.
I am a single dad that had issues with my ex concerning child custody! I met with Nancy and from the beginning I knew I had the right choice for an attorney. Not Only is Nancy tough and professional, she also has a caring side that made me know that I was more than just a client. When I had fought the courts myself for so long there is a time when you can not do it alone and Nancy stepped up and I always felt from day one that she was there taking care of me but also my son!! I owe so much to her for what she did to protect my son and get me 100 percent physical and legal custody. Her staff is amazing and you are surrounded by people who care about you and what you are going through. I feel like they are part of my family and will be forever greatful!! Jeff
My divorce went to trial. My x was asking for way too much. Nancy was able to show the judge on my behalf the rediculousness of the requests. She kept her word on everything we had agreed to. If I ever have to go to court again, I will be taking Nancy with me.
I recently went through a surprise divorce. I didn’t know what I was doing so I hired a very expensive, highly rated, award winning, Orange County Attorney to represent me. I had a simple divorce and was only interested in getting the alimony lowered. After charging me an amount way above her estimate I ended up with the exact same deal that I was offered before I hired an attorney. It was a nightmare. I heard good things about Brown and Dahan from a friend that was also going through a divorce at the same time. So within a few days of my previous meeting I met with Nancy Dahan. She made no outrageous promises but did promise to give me some real representation. At the next court meeting Kathy Brown got my alimony lowered by a significant amount. She did this while charging me a fraction of what my previous, useless attorney charged. Hiring Brown and Dahan was the smartest move I made during my divorce. They came in under their estimate, cut about 25% off my alimony and saved me from certain bankruptcy.
I was referred to Nancy by my sister who had hired her several years earlier to handle her divorce. Nancy was able to help me get stabilized immediately, and then methodically walked me through the entire divorce process from beginning to end. Watching her in court was something to see! She comes in so prepared, that the other side doesn't stand a chance. One really nice thing was; I know that she's incredibly busy, but she always took the time to really listen to what I had to say, and to understand what was particularly important to me, so that I was able to get the settlement and financial support that I needed. I would, and have recommended her to all of my friends and co-workers that are getting divorced. There is no one else who will fight as hard, or work as tirelessly to get her clients everything they deserve.
