When that happened, I collapsed and was taken from their office to the hospital by ambulance. After I got out of the hospital, while I was severely traumatized, they said I had to sign a paper giving them tens of thousands from my portion of the home sale in order for them to help me in this court case, otherwise they said I'd have to go to court alone and face my abuser alone. They never showed me a bill to justify all the amount of money they said I needed to give them. In fact, I never saw a bill for them from the month preceding the trial on. They just wrote some figures down on a legal pad and said they'd discount a few thousand off of it if I signed that paper, or if not, I'd have to go to court alone. In the end, I was severely traumatized, gravely disabled from it, financially ruined, lost my home, left with no income, no healthcare, nothing. She blamed it on me saying I was a part of planning the strategy for the trial and should have done things differently. She blamed it on a professional who testified on my behalf at the trial. He is still very upset about that. And they took nearly every penny I had, and gave me nothing but devastation in return. Do not ever use these attorneys!
